wow, that's rele weird, i'm not sure why he would be mad, i was almost in the same situation, the guy i like's best friend would always ask me if i liked his best friend, and i would always deny it around both of them and then finally i told the guy i like, i like him, and he wasn't rele mad, but hmmm well maybe you could just explain that you were unsure about him liking you or not, or you were unsure about how he would react if you had told him the truth the first time.
