Personal Wedding Card

I'm known amongst my friends to give a "home made card" for special events with a personalized verse inside. I've got a wedding coming up in two weeks (two close girlfriends both in their early fifties) and a bit of dilema. Since the man of my life passed away in December, I'm finding it really hard to write an upbeat verse for their card to celebrate their union. Everything I've written has a touch of my lost love and I don't want to put a damper on their day. Question: Should I give in and buy a card this time or go with the flow and give them one of my own, knowing that it's not my best, but still from the heart?

I think the answer is quite simple.

You giving your own personalised card, with your own poem. It's from your heart, that is what they will cherish more.

Thanks for responding. I was leaning towards my own, but had a few doubts. I'll flatten out the scrounged up paper (ha, ha ... hard to do with a computer screen) and try to tweak.
