Somebody once told me...I need your opinions!!!!!!!!

Somebodu once told me that one of my poems was a story because it didn't ryme. Omg! doesn't that piss you off? it was like 2-3 pages long, was in blocks, and it described like different things. who thinks that ryming is a requirment?

Rhyming is not a requirement. You can write a poem any way you want really. Writing poetry is kind of like doing an experiment. So don't listen to people that say things like that.

No need to rhyming. People express their

thoughts differently and not everyone express' out

i definitely dont think rhyming is a requirement. my poems rarely rhyme :P

I think that many think that poems are just that by rhyming alone. But that is a general view of what poetry is.

But don't get angry at something that is thought by many. They are just limited in thought.

Poetry doesnt have any rules. Yet stories do. A poem is whatever you want it to be, in your own way. Dont let someone else tells you get in the way of writing your lovely poems.

I dont think that it is a requirement but I do belive that it makes the poem a little bit easier on the eyes... (most of the time.. this isnt always true) but I dont think you can say that because something doesnt rhyme it isnt a poem.. there are some really good poems out there that dont rhyme.. it just depends on the writer's style
