Considering leaving the site.

Because of the lack of respect for the mods. Because of the mods' lack of respect for the members. Because of the petty way people treat each other. Because of the childish behavior displayed by men and women who are old enough to act wiser. Because of my personal loss of respect for those people whom I thought deserved it. These are some of the reasons I am considering leaving this site.

I know that most of you don't know me. And I also know that most of you who know me don't care if you do or not. I just thought that, for the sake of those few who do care, I should voice my thoughts.

You didn't join for all that^, I'd imagine, so why leave because of it?

^^^There is absolutely no need to be blunt or callous to the person who posted the original thread.

It is a thankless and I would dare say a lousy job because they have to upkeep the rules and make decisions being impartial all the time. This means that they have to be impartial also in the treatment of those who they also know very well, there cannot be any difference.

In the end they take the full force of the hatred, someone has to do it and I do admire them for having to do such a tough job. I still beleive that all of them do their jobs in an impartial and fair
    manner.

“Was Chris` account deleted due to lack of respect???????
Can anyone tell me just why he was kicked out of here?”
In my opinion respect is about dignity. Freedom of speech does not condone robbing someone of dignity. Anyone knows that rules cannot be enforced without a weapon
Those of us who are not given the authority to enforce the rules of this site do not have the power to disable an account. As far as I know Janis owns this site and can give that power to any member. I was in the discussion where Chris’s post was removed without penalty. It is a long and boring story. Chris sent me an email which I took to mean that I have no dignity. I took the letter also to mean that if I did not voluntary censor myself it was his intention to take from me what he claimed I did not have to begin with. I never contacted a mod. When he did not get the effect he desired. He repeatedly challenged Bob’s use of the authority that was passed to him from the administrators, Mike has repeatedly stated that he could see no difference between the abuse of religion and the abuse of drugs. I can see no difference between the abuse of drama and the abuse of truth. If we do not see this for what it is. In my opinion, based on the evidence I have witnessed, it is no different than a soap opera. If you don’t believe this drama was not well thought out and planned by Chris Then tell me a western. What happens in a western when someone calls someone out and says he is not a man? Does the hero always walk away?

Michael, why are you posting that in here? It's from a different post that has nothing to do with this one. I really don't care why Chris was deleted because I didn't know him, nor do I know any of the details behind why his account was deleted. Before you post something, I ask that you make sure you're posting it somewhere where it's relevant.

    I must say something:

If you are leaving because of what was said in this forum, then really I should doubt your character is weak in the real life.

Many adults here do act childish, and some may act like it. But that is just them, and this is just a poetry site, and a peotry forum.

You can take what was said seriously, but at the end of the day, all you have to do is shut the computer off and live the rest of the day.

I am not being blunt, or being hurtful, but if you are affected by words written on a screen by someone you can't see. Then see a psycologist.

Improve your poetry, rather than get affected by words. This site, is ideal in improving a fellow poet.

Ismail, I am not affected by what is said. I don't take offense to what people say about me or anything else. I'm considering leaving because of my personal disgust of the way people are treating each other. When I first joined this site, people were, for the most part, at least civil to each other. Now, there is constant bickering, disrespect, and unadulterated hatred. Personally, I try to distance myself from such stupidity.

This is a poetry forum, ofcourse there is going to be a warfest. It's basically pride and personality clashes....

But in the long run, they make up, and we become a happy family.

To some here it's a enjoyable test and game aswell. Like me....

So just go with the flow..There might be bickering but that is because we care about each other...Lol.

Why kick up a huge fuss about leaving?

If you're done, well, you're done. Have fun on the next adventure.

Sorry to be blunt but it looks like attention seeking to me. You have an interesting point of view on most subjects discussed here, but if you're only here for the poetry then don't visit the discussion boards. Better yet, just don't read the discussions that you are inclined to think will be disrespectful.
