    Through Your Eyes
By: Bob Shank and Amanda Bee

I see the love of God
    through your eyes
    the sadness of mankind
    through your cries

    through my eyes
    your heart is exposed
    through your eyes
    I can see my soul

    the sincerity in your heart
    as you teach a class
    such compassion you show
    to a struggling lass

    the intentions in your heart
    as you strive tirelessly toward
building a playground for our children
and with God lies your reward

    the tenderness of your soul
    when relating to others
    how you address all humanity
    as your sisters and brothers

    the gentleness of your soul
    conveying wisdom from within
    advising those whom you meet
    discouraging hatred and sin

and yet most religions would condemn you
promise you an eternity in hell
for your beliefs about your Creator
do not sit with them very well

those who spew malice in your direction
are out to eliminate your faith
strapping bombs to their backs and chests
    claiming righteousness while portraying hate

    however you and I
    though worlds apart
    share a spiritual bond
    within our hearts

A bond that can not be broken
for our spirits are much too strong
    a universal message of peace
a recognition of right and wrong

on many issues we often differ
on others we agree with a smile or nod
but one thing that is for certain
we are both creations of a loving God

we're both convicted in our beliefs
as different as our ideas may be
but we share a passion in helping others
and are both in awe of God's supremacy

    made in His image
and with a right to choose
    but when love becomes hatred
    we will all undoubtly lose

so tread upon your chosen path
and I'll continue down my trail
    meeting you somewhere in between
    through tolerance we'll both prevail

I see the love of God
    through your eyes
    the sadness of mankind
    through your cries...

    through my eyes
    your heart is exposed
    through your eyes
    I can see my soul...

A Collab by Amanda Bee and Bob Shank. The topic was 'Religious Differences', the first stanza was done by Bob, the second by Amanda, and it continues that way throughout. The message is clear, but just in case you missed it, before you condemn anothers belief, look at it through their eyes.....May your God Bless all of you.

    Spring Resonance (Acrostic)

Jubilant are the sounds of spring
    Omnipresent on my ears;
Young chimes dancing to the hymns of the winds
    Finches sing their delicate songs
    Uttering peace within the heart
    Life's wonderful blessing.

Sun yellow streams through the rainy clouds.
    Outside the inner realms of beauty;
Unifying sights with various soft sounds
Nature's voice echoes within the wind
    Dancing to it's every breath
    Singing Spring's peaceful song.

    Stealing Fate
    By Sunny and Holly Armer

Dare I speak for my tongue is bruised
    feeling lonely and confused
His hand has graced my cheek again
time stands still for me my friend

Damn her for her useless voice
Once again I have no choice
She brought this all upon herself
claiming that I should get some help

Losing my hair one strand maybe more
    I've lost count, I can't keep score
Many times I wanted to fight back
thoughts that just brought more powerful attacks

But it's her that has driven me to drink
just one more sip so I can think
Still not enough to quench this need
I'm downing shots at rapid speed

Hoping the blackouts will visit him soon
    crying inside, fearing my doom
Movement I hear he's coming this way
his fist meets my stomach, damn he will pay

Catching the look within her eyes
the shame is there, she can't disguise
Hitting her once but craving much more
I won't be satisfied til she's on the floor

His cold wet hand has me by the throat
wishing upon stars he'll trip on his coat
The grip is tight gasping for air
    fading into darkness and despair

Grabbing her roughly by the neck
I'll teach her obedience and respect
Watch her struggle for a minute or two
then tighten my grip as she turns blue

This was just a scenario played out with rage
Trapping beauty in a violent cage
It's a daily occurence, there's rarely an escape
for domestic violence steals many a fate

*Thanks Sunny, you are a delight to write with!

Poverty's bitter song by katie and musicality

    >Poverty, an epidemic which spreads
    >Living in cities, villages and towns
    >Skyscraping disaster, cruelty of a kind
    >Leaving the ups, preying on the downs
    >
    >Hurling its people in a downward thrust
    >Unraveling the seams of this world
    >Retaining only the darkness inside
    >Tacticly working until greed is unfurled
    >
    >A disease which spreads malice through fiery tongues
    >Cruel magic from the heart of sin
    >Where children bleed tears from hunger and pains
    >Wondering when someone will ease their suffering
    >
    > Fatigue streaks the faces of the innocent
    > Eyes hallowed, ghastly and grave
    > Alienating earlier hopeful beliefs
    > Reminding all they cannot be saved

Stomachs empty, no food for days
Those who have done no wrong
Are lost in shadows, dulled spirits
    Dancing to poverties bitter song
