I personally think that they waited too long to sue, and that they shouldnt have grounds to do so anymore. The book came out 3 years ago, and there are a myriad of other books on the subject. Brown is being targetted because of his success, not because of what he did. There were not any copyright infringements made on the actual writing, and you can only copyright ideas to a certain extent.

I think that it's out of line.

    Thoughts, anyone?

I'll try to take it form a different point of view. successful => you have many enemies. Even Gandi had enemies.

not to get political, but it is expected. like you said it took too long, they just waited till he got successful and then sued him.

Another thing about the copyright issues. I'll take that from the marketing perpective.

Lets take the example of Fabric softner, I don't remeber which company did it, I think it was Fbreez, but I'm not sure. now, that's a brand new idea. if another company does it, it's not violating copyright...

same thing with books, he copid the idea in his way, and not plagirized (sp?) it. big difference.

you are allowed to copyright ideas to a certain extent depending on the idea, wheather a company or an idividual and wha thte idea is
