It happens to everyone ... we come across a poem that rocks our world on a day when we've felt all alone. This just happened to me ... it's called Heart vs Brain by ImplementsOfOuch. When you read it, note the comments and you'll know why it was so dear to my "heart". |

Thanks to all of you for sharing. What a great way to be able to tune in to some writers that I might have missed through the usual searching. Some of them are quite intense, but it will be a joy to peel back the layers as I read. :) |

I haven't been on the site in awhile ... family obligations that have been all encompassing, but now I've got a chance and I'll spend it wisely checking out some more of the poems mentioned. |

Aria mentioned the same one I was going to... Federico Garcia Lorca's Lament For Ignacio Sanchez Mejias. Probably one of the most powerful poems I've ever read. Garcia Lorca is just an amazing man in general. Actually, his whole book "Poet In New York" is pretty world-rocking. I recommend it. |
