Talk to him. No one can really help and solve it because no one's in his head besides himself.
So you should ask him why he keeps lying to you all the time, and about the time thing before he leaves.
You'll only start getting answers if you get them off him.
All that made sense in my head haha I don't know if it will in yours.

I was gonna say, if you lived in Aus you could go round and see him coz it's only 5. But yeah, you don't. Just talk to him when he gets back, and say that theres stuff going on with your mum & stepdad and you dont need to be lied to right now and you want to know why he did.
And if you can't get in contact with him, you will have to wait until he gets back.

What is a relationship without trust. If he is lying to you now just imagine how much he has lied to you and you dont know about it.

Anybody can say they are sorry...who cares tell him to SHOW you that he is sorry with his actions. Guys will tell you exactly what you want to hear. I am not trying to be mean but I just dont wanna see you get hurt, which I have been many times. Ask yourself this do you like being lied to???? that should tell you all you need to know.

Of course you are gonna find out. We are women we always do. I tell my boyfriend the same thing. All people lie some kind of way. I just tell him to be good enough at it where i dont find out. What I dont know cant hurt me.

He is lying to you because you make it so. You are allowing him to do what the hell he wants. Here is a tip about my gender…Lol:
