Inspiration

The only thing that has inspired the majority of my poetry is the guy who broke my heart.

All I ever really write about is what he did to me, and my feelings now.

I want more inspiration..I have nothing.

    Please. Help.

    Go outside.

    Look at the beauty.

Look at the hives of skum and villany.

Use your eyes, your heart, and your soul,

    To guide your pen.

That sounds good, you made me realize that I never use my sense of nature..I'm always using love as an excuse to write my poetry. You gave me something to think about, thank you!

Inspiration.....how can you not be inspired?
There is so much to inspire us in this world?

I say take a look around you!
Or even better take a look inside you? (metaphorically of course!)

Yeah - I only really write on one topic as well - which is why people get bored of my poetry easily :) But I have recently tried turning my mind to the other things I enjoy - Parkour, and my beautiful cat. I've tried so many times to write nice poetry about my friends too, but I always end up going back to a particular friend - which can get very annoying. Just think about something you really enjoy, and then put pen to paper and let your heart, mind and soul do all the talking :) If you really can't think of anything you love to do, then focus on a season, or something in nature - because that is such a powerful force, that poems can come out really well in that subject :)

    Peace. [Sole]

Chelsey you are a poet because you are writing your heartbreak. Thats exactly what i am doing, my beautiful girl left me after 2 years of the best relationship and the best women i ever met. I am writing my heartbreak because that is what i am feeling. You are not a poet to write about things you're not. My heart break isn't an inspiration, nothig is. Your feelings if anything are 'inspiration" because you're living them. I hate all my poetry because its not happy and its about my pain. i only have 2 poem out of the many which are false and i hate them even more because i dont feel it.

People who right poetry about anything dont make sense because its not their heart, its their hobby. A good poet always said to me "Write what your heart is feeling, not what your mind wants"
A poets drive comes from their heart. When my heartache goes away if ever, you'll never hear of me anymore because my heart would have healed.

Take Care and stay true, if your heartache has gone, then stop writing until your heart has something to say : )

keep writing about him. if you absolutely want another topic, be one with nature, or think back to simpler times and write about childhood or happiness. it'll work, girly! best of luck 2 you and i hope you take some of my advice.

Write about your relationships with other people. Write about what annoys you, something that you love to do. Look through pictures for inspiration. And when you go outside (or you could do this inside too) don't just look around, but close your eyes and listen to all the sounds, take a deep breath and smell all the scents.

Go somewhere. Outside, Inside. And close your eyes and spin around a little. Then stop. Open your eyes. And whatever you see first, write about that. Describe what it looks like, What it feels like, And if it has a scent to it. Is it used for something? Things like that. You just have to open your eyes and take a look around you. You can write about anything in the world. You just have to use your imagination and brains. =)

Write about anything other than him. Who cares if it is good or not. It is a break from what you were writing and will probably take your mind off him which is good therapy.
