Janis : I am back!

1st of all, welcome back Janis, we all missed you!!!

Okay, I had "My Life" changed and "Slow Dance" changed. I didn't have any deleted, but a lot of them have gotten very rude comments on them and been rated '1's. There has to be more than one person doing it, or one person with a few computers, because they are dropping a few ones on the poems they hit. That's all I really know, I don't know how much that helps.

I have a complain on behalf of somebody else. First of all i want to ask sorry to that person because i blamed them thinking they were playing a prank.

I am attaching the message i recieved from that person

There were some others that I deleted…I deleted the rudest and crudest ones. One of my poems I believe had quite a few of them, Andrea Lea Dake said something back to them to leave me alone and they said to her
"I think you need to shut the f*ck up andrea before i take out my nine and bust a cap in ur ace! first off you have no idea who we are and you will never know..you will never figure it out and we will continue our reign on this pathetic poetry site and its so called "writers" and "poets" dont try to stop us..MESS WITH THE BEST!
DIE LIKE THE REST!!!!"
The used the names Sero Cool and Singing Blunder on the comments on that poem, but I don't have the first comment anymore.

I think the ones were given to: Confused, Slow Dance, Why-to my “Best Friend”, My Life, Holes, and a few others; I don’t remember all of them.

I agree with Peter, it should probably be around 2 minutes...I am a very fast reader and I keep running into having to wait before I can vote on the next poem!!!

I'm going to agree too. I might go down as low as 90 seconds... no more than 2 minutes though. Maybe that will make us read poems slower or more than once. Right now, I'm finding it annoying to have to remember which ones I've not rated and go back after 3 minutes. If it stays like this, it will definitely discourage people from voting at all.

Hi Janis, not to add to more work or anything but a few of my poems were edited, I tried to edit them back to what they said before but it won't let me, it says it contains explicit text and cannot be edited but they are already categorized under explicit and it still won't let me edit them. I don't know who edited them but it upset me alot, since I spent alot of time writing them. Aside from the few that were edited three were deleted, and I don't see why, I re-submitted them exactly as they were before, check under, "Buterflies In My Tummy", and "What this guy does to her." and "Killing Myself" which was titled as "Me" or "My Life" before, I can't remember. Those three were deleted. And hopefully you can give me a reason why. About editing the others hopefully you can help, Thanks!!

Valerie... I just did a test on your Celisa poems (I know I commented on this to you somewhere else....are these the poems that you don't want in explicit?) Anyway... I copied your poem and tried to post it myself in my poems... and I got the "too many spelling errors" message... there were a couple errors, but mostlyit just does not like the name "Celisa" it doesn't recognize it.... so I tried to post it under slang. It accepted it and then I immediately went in to edit and put it in a love category...and it worked. (of course I then deleted it from my pomes) I haven't checked your other mentioned poems.... but there is your solution if the Celisa poems are what you are referring to. (it will work for any of your other poems too... as long as there is no profanity in them, in which case they do belong in explicit)

oh thanks! LOL, i was wondering why my celisa poems wouldn't go under sad poems but thanks I will try to edit them right now!

I haven't had any of my poems changed or deleted. The only thing I fell victim to was a barrage of porno-spam comments. It's no big deal, I usually just them but still it might not be good for younger users to see stuff like that, I’ve noticed those on other people’s pages before too.

welcome back janis! just wanna say thanks for making this site. i know you've probably been through lots of work to keep it in shape. i hope you're not pushing yourself too much! this site has helped me improve my poetry and urged me to keep on writing.

when all the rude comments started and stuff a member from here sent me a "private message" to my e-mail and was extremely rude about a poem I wroote about my best friend, see "My best-friends Last Moments," true story.
I mean if she believes my poem is bad then she could say it but she was like: "You are so f**ked up." and in another e-mail from the same person she wrote:"that was so stupid, Your dumb and stupid. You are so wrong."
I really did not appreciate her writng that and was greatly offended.

I just remembered because I was looking over my old e-mails and it's still there this was like a month ago or so.

Can you also find who is "unknown"? That person has no poems but has left a lot of rude comments. (not for me.)He has admitted by himself that he deleted Vindictor's poem (in vindictor's comment section).

Also, is there any way that you can make people stop using swearing in their title? I know you have loads of work now itself. sorry if we are applying more pressure.

Yes, I agree with the need to do something about the names. People are also starting to put "please comment" in their names! (oops..Trincy said title.... Swearing needs to be out of there, too)

I know Janis doesn't mind suggestions, he will just take note of them and get to them as he can (surely he will prioritize certain things)

He said in another thread, though, that he will be away for another 10-12 days! So all this will have to wait until he returns.
