Hi I just joined yesterday and was looking for some advice

srry i posted what i had here in the wrong forum section i think...anyways my favorite types of poems are poems about depression or inspirational poems because i feel that they connect with the reader the most, because most people's strongest memories are those that were very traumatic or something that made them feel good or gain a feeling of self-worth

Take it you meant 2 post that 2 what ppl usually write bout. I agree with u.

Hi larry, I joined yesterday too!
Just wanted to say hi and that I think the best advice I can give is to keep writing....no matter where you are, what you write it on, just do it....poetry is like breathing.....but sometimes when around other people, I hold my breath...I guess this is a chance for new poets like you and me to start breathing?

Writting poetry is easy...just go with the flow! Think of...something you like, an experience you've had, or just rhyme some words together and build on that! Its easy once you get the hang of it. Then once your rhyming you'll be making your own poems up in your head all day!
(Just remember 2 write them down!)
