    I was just curious to know which is your first poem and when you wrote it? Can you post it here or give a link to it?

    Well, my first poem is written in my mother tounge (Malayalam) and hardly one or two in this site may understand it. I wrote it at age 10. Lol! i am not going to post that for sure. Unexpectedly, I found my first poem in English, in one of my file. I thought i will post it. I guess i was 17 at that time.

    *To my first and last love*

    The images of my love is vivid and infinite…
    Whether you love me or not… I don’t mind…
    But I love you… and it will be so…
    I expect nothing back… nothing!
    Just, I want to love you… truly
    I mean, an endless love, Love endlessly
    You sank my theories in the deep ocean,
    You left it to fly away in the space.
    I couldn’t catch it… or I didn’t try to…
    It’s a fact… My control was lost…
    My dreams followed you…and only you…
    I never deserve you… Still, may be a chance?
    Hopes are left! You may mock or laugh…
    But I won’t give up
    I am yours… you are mine… and it’s my belief
    I would pray… and once God will hear…
    You will come… and all will accept.

    I am happy that still the same person remains as my first and last love.

    i had mine back in 4th grade. it was written in a different language (tagalog). i've quickly written 3 more after that in a week. all of them were in english but unfortunately, when we moved, they were lost. i used to write them down on a really pretty stationary and tape it on the wall. i think one was about being young and enjoying it. another was "if i had one wish" and the other was graduation. it was probably written in broken english... funny how i find it easier to write poems in english now than my native language...

    oh god... LOL I don't remember!!! I've written a lot of poetry and a lot of it isn't even posted on here.

    I think the one I can truely remember writing is called "Misread Words" which is actually in my profile but I'll put it here.

    Misread Words

    She said she was sorry,
    She really did try,
    But the words from her mouth
    Couldn't explain her feelings inside.

    Two friends one day, two enemies the next.
    All from words misread.

    One person they hurt
    Two for each other
    Three for a friend
    Four for anther.
    Five, Six and Seven for everyone else.

    All from words misread.

    No one's to blame,
    No one's at fault.
    Words are deadly at best.
    Meanings hazy and Clairty Foggy.

    All from words misread.

    Though she said she was sorry,
    The meaning still linger
    Her words not believed
    As she wipes a tear from her finger.

    Time will heal as they say,
    And I guess it is true,
    From all that is said
    All from words misread.

    My first Poem is Called "Reflection" I wrote it about my real father before I met him. Its the one poem I do not share because what I wrote in it is completely different from how i think today. And I will never give him the satisfaction of having a nice poem written about him. But i wrote it when I was 14 years old.

    This is my first real poem. Like I said, I wrote parts of poems before, but this was my first whole poem.

    The Last Night
    by Hannah

    All those nights I spent with you
    holding you so tight
    All those things we talked about
    never did we fight

    I could tell you anything
    you would understand
    We could go anywhere
    you would always hold my hand

    But one day everything changed
    you were taken away from me
    How could this have happened
    we were meant to be

    It was late at night
    we were in your car
    I could see it coming
    the headlights from afar

    There was nothing you could do
    the car was coming fast
    It flung our car over the rail
    breaking all the glass

    They told me as I lie in bed
    how my loved one had died
    And about the drunk man
    who decided to drink and drive

    My first poem was when I was 11, in class we had to write a poem on our favourite colour. I chose purple... nothing rhymed with it. It was, most likely, the worst poem ever. I don't know where it has gone but it s*cked, I made every line rhyme quite forcefully.

    Well, in 4th grade I wrote many short stories and tiny poems, but now I wouldn't call them poems. hehe. Anyway, I wrote my first REAL poem when I was almost 16. Its a LONG story and rather ironic. Anyway, it was called, "I Will Always Be There". I wont' post it on here though... it's rather bad... I sorry. lol.

    my first poem was in 5th grade and here it is (and yes it is very corney i think!)

    Once i saw a butterfly

    once i saw a butterfly
    dancing way up high
    it came down to me and crawled up my arm,

    it tickled
    and made me giggle,
    but as soon as i started giggling
    it flies away,

    now every time i see a butterfly
    dancing way up high,
    i smile, cause just the thought
    makes me happy.
    ``````````````````````````````````````````
    lol i cant believe i still remember that it wasn't even about a butterfly. It was about how every time we have some thing good or feel truely happy and we realize it, it just dissapears. THe butterfly was a metaphor for freedom. I suprised the heck outta my teacher when i told her that. but she loved it so i keep writing. I have her to thank for alot of thigns in my life including my poetry.
    My first poem was "Gone with the Wind"
    and it was so horrible that i burned it.
    It said something about "the bed was kinda bumpy so i couldn't sleep" "the king was not me nor was the wind warm"
    It was so horrible. I'm kinda glad i will never see it again lmfao!
    I am not sure which of the two came first. It was along the same time though. I was 18 and in my senior year of high school. One was for English class and we had to use the line.....Cupid draw back your bow. Mine was very silly and corny but the teacher loved it. The other poem was written about a girl in our senior class that died as a result of drunk driving.
    My first poem was Twilight and I was 11 (I still am) and people are impressed with my talent. I have over, better poems, but here it is.
    Twilight brings a silver glitter, in the twinkle of my eye
    When time passes by I think of a bird, flying through the sky
    Carrying mankinds wants, and there pleads to know the truth
    And the bird, flys past time carrying mankinds curiosities forever.
    The knowledge behind, times barrier is kept asleep
    Running past a silver glass, the futures truth behind it waits
    Feeling lost, falling into the past for everlasting more
    The dawn of mankind, brings all the knowledge evermore.
    When the time comes, we will all understand
    The future will cease, the past will fade
    The longing dreams, as the twilight approaches
    And the present will freeze, to a wasteland of dreams.
    my first poem (that i can remember writing) is "It's Not Your Fault" i wrote it in 8th grade (while having problems with cutting and suicide)
    It's not your fault
    You didn't do anything wrong, it's all me this time.
    I don't really know what's wrong.
    Maybe it's the fact I just saw my life flash before my eyes.
    But it's not your fault.
    You didn't know this would happen.
    You didn't do this to me, I did.
    I ruined myself, and now I'm hurt, permanently.
    But you couldn't have done anything anyway.
    It wouldn't have changed anything.
    But don't blame yourself, just because...
    I killed myself.
