My first poem was a Haiku I wrote in elementary school formy beautiful mother. When she finds it, I'll post it. I wrote a few sappy love poems when I was a teenager than I didn't write for years. The first poem I wrote as an adult can be found on this site and is titled "Germs". I wrote it a few years ago when I was sick.

The earliest poem I have left from many years of writing and loss, is "Skipping Rocks" I wrote it when I was 13 and had it published in poetry.com book called "Invoking the Muse" I wrote it while sitting on the side of a crick, thinking of a guy I thought I loved and missed.

    Skipping Rocks

    Skipping Rocks Skipping Rocks
its the only thing that i can do
to get my mind off of you
though I know our love is true
living without you makes me blue
    so i sit here,
    shedding a tear
    Skipping Rocks

Hah... I don't even know when I started writing...

I suppose it was in kindergarten, because we were required to write poems in school at that point...

I continued being forced to write them all the way up to eighth grade, and, strangly, it's only now that I'm in highschool that the poems I write even begin to be really about me, and what I thought.

Hmm, I'll see if I can find one from kindergarten or something...
