i don't understand and can do nothing about it... ?

i didn't really know where to post this, but i guess this is as good a spot as any.
so here goes...
my boyfriend's mom absolutely hates my guts. and there is really no worse a person to be hated by in my oppinion, am i right? but i don't know why, and i'm so lost on how to fix things with her. i'm freakin out about this. does anyone have any suggestions?

yeah, i understand what you're saying. but she's not a nice person to begin with, that's just how she is. and i've tried to be so polite when i talk to her. i might have seemed a little rude one time, but i don't think she's forgotten. and no, she hasn't actually said 'i hate you' but every time i call, she hangs up on me. i think that's a pretty good sign. correct me if i'm wrong, but i just don't understand.

in the 2 months we've been together, i've probably called him about 4 times.
and she doesn't give me a chance to say anything. she just hangs up.. and it makes my boyfriend feel bad if i tell him that she does it, so i don't ever tell him anything. i don't know though. i mean, i understand that she's trying to protect her son, but i just kind of feel like it's more than that. i'm not sure

ok, so now i'm totally lost. today his mom came up to me at school and gave me a big hug, and was tellin me congradulations on the contest we just won. she's so confusing. was she just being nice, you think? and she actually secretly hates me? grr. it makes me angry.

She probably doesnt hate you - just the thought of any other woman taking her baby boy...
