Just a thought. Don't know if it will fly.

Remember that this is just my opinion. I think that those people who don't have poems posted with their accounts should be deleted off the site. I'm just tired of seeing so many people who come on this site, a poetry site, and don't do anything but post nonsensical drivel on the discussion boards. Especially those who don't even post anything about themselves, such as age, sex, location. But that's enough of my rant.

I tend to agree to a point... but many poets on here have friends and family that want to read & comment on their poems, and since we made it so people have to be a member to comment, we can't really require them to have poems.

However, looking the stats. Janis should be able to tell if someone is on an alias just to mess around in the forums or is actually leaving good comments. If it's the latter, then they should be allowed to stay.

    make sense?

On a slightly different note, I kind of think he should actually get rid of the accounts that have had NO activity in set amount of time.

Good points, all of them. I'm just tired of it because most of the people I see that have no poems or information on their accounts are the ones who make the most trouble in the forums and the chat room. And before anybody jumps on me, I don't care about the chat room, I haven't been in there in a very long time. I just am tired of hearing of the childish and very annoying problems with it.

Quoted by Ann, "On a slightly different note, I kind of think he should actually get rid of the accounts that have had NO activity in set amount of time."

I do believe that a set amount of time is all ready stated in the Rules.

Rule # 9. If a member is inactive for over 60 days (has made no posts) their user name may be deleted.

I do understand your point, he has a set amount of time, but those accounts never seem to be deleted.

yes, I knew there was a set amount of time.. but Janis has said (I think in the mod forum somewhere) that he has never deleted inactive accounts, it's only in the terms and guidelines so he has that option... which is why I said he "should actually" do it.

That is correct Ann, it is still a set amount of time, but it is alot long, I won't mention the amount of time...but there is still a set amount, I am not sure if Janis still actually does it after that time limit, but like I said there is still a set amount of time (stated in the Mod Forum)

    Peace, Joe
