    1. Ultralight Over
    by PreciousIllusions

    Ultralight to Mission Control Tower
    Ultralight to Mission Control Tower
    Ultralight speaking
We seem to have inadvertently flown into a patch of low-level clouds, a prop has incurred some minor damage, and we’ve wiped-out our landing gear, but I’m 98.9 % positive if I could just find a clear spot on the runway I should be able to…

    Glide! Into a safe landing
    Ultralight over
The costs are not a lot
I got my new machine & found my own pilot
    Down at the local hub
But after that last loop it seems he has passed out
Uh, oh, I think I just saw my house

My military issue glasses kept me from
getting the required pilot’s license to fly a real plane
But flying my ultralight is more fun anyway
We just bolted it together in a few weekends
Oshkosh, Wisconsin is the premiere destination
Each type of aviation must be conducted within the limits of its design
But we exceed the limits until they barely qualify

    Ultralight to ground
    Ultralight to ground
There could be a minor accident
If we can’t turn this plane around

    Stop stalling
& stay out of the light
    You knew this could happen
& you knew it wasn’t right

But you had to be Experimental
You had to load the wing
It was supposed to be 5 hours
But you missed the last landing

    Ultralight to Mission Control Tower
    Ultralight to Mission Control Tower
    Ultralight speaking
This will be my last transmission
    I hope this is recording
    Ultralight over

    Ultralight over
    Ultralight over
    Mission Control to Ultralight
    Come in, Ultralight
    Over

    Wahoo!

    Violent Violet

With all the troubles in my world
Who could forget that little girl?
Violet, who tossed and twirled her hair
Who stopped you in your tracks by that tiny stare

She looks as innocent, as tender and sweet
But looks are decieving until you meet
The little beast that lurks inside
Thats dark as death, and fragile as time

You'll see the girl that wins your heart
You'll see the girl that watches the stars
And never the girl that cuts her wrists
Or even the girl that longs for bliss

She goes out to the streets at night to try
And see if she can really survive
She fights her way through the cold cruel world
She's fought so hard, she's now a violent girl

The violent girl that cuts her wrists
The girl that no one can resist
The girl that no one can get
Do you know a girl like Violent Violet?

    from here

    the gun shots rang
    as the over the hill
    the soldiers marched
    eager to kill

    and from here
    from our safe place
    from here we watched
    as our hearts raced

    the blood ran red
    screams rent the air
    as soldiers slaughterd
    without care

    and from here
    we cursed and cried
    as we watched from here
    our loved ones die

    women screamed
    an earpeirceing sound
    as they fell bloodied
    to the ground

    and from here
    we watched the black wave
    and from here
    we wished we were brave

    then flames lept up
    and devoured our place
    the smoke spiraled high
    smudging heavens face

    and from here we watched
    as our minds screamed
    from here we watched
    as flames ate our dreams

    the soldiers left
    the bodies lay
    like broken dolls
    under light of day

    and where from here?
    home and family gone
    where from here
    shall we carry on?

    Peach Black

    peachy keen, what a joke
im not giggly, im not gonna lie
no matter how much red bull i drink
there is no way im gonna fly

    peaches and cream, miserable oatmeal
forget that, black is the new peach
im not bubbly nor baby pink
that black is for what i reach

    the purest, of colors full
    white isnt chaste at all
    the empty absence is sick
nothing in will ever to me call

a sick color for the greatness of fruit
peach is weak while black is strong
peach boring while black brings the eve
    whoever likes peach is wrong

    the bringer of unearthly dreams
black is the lady of the night
peach and white are forever gone
whenever black is in its might

no more is there reason to name
anything with the moniker of black white
white is no longer the opposite of black
people will now say peach black

    ~Roses Red Way~

    I write, cuz' I'm scared
    of what I will become.
    I write, cuz' I'm afraid
that I will have no one.

    I write, cuz' I'm nervous
    of what the future holds.
    I write, cuz' I don't believe
    everything I've been told.

    I write, cuz' I'm upset
at the way I've been treated.
    I write cuz' I'm sad
    and feel that I'm defeated.

    And when I do write,
it's not the roses red way.
    I write about my life,
    what I deal with everyday.

    But my life isn't harder,
    than any of yours.
    We all have our problems,
    that we have to endure.

    We all have good times,
    and times where we slip.
    We all have some issues,
    in life's long, tiring trip.

    Jumping Out Of Air
    ------------------------------

    An understatement of confusion
    Sleepless nights, little time
    From this twisted world, seclusion
    Fatal sickness, nothing's fine

    Once again, I'm lonely
    Arms outstretched, on they stare
I'm only doing what you've shown me
    Jumping out of air

    Laughing as the doorbell rings
Try to break down this door
    It's another of my sins
    Hating, wanting, scream for more

    Looking out across the yard
A single figure, dressed in red
    Body shaking, mind is scarred
I thought that love was dead

    Once again, I'm lonely
    Arms outstretched, on they stare
I'm only doing what you've shown me
    Jumping out of air

    Jump, fall, prepared for silence
    Blackness, as I die
The world shows nothing but unkindness
As you catch me from the sky

Pull my body close to yours
    Hold on to me tight
Head out for the western shores
    In perfect, angelic flight

    Once again, I'm lonely
Remember the good times we shared
I'm only doing what you've shown me
    Jumping out of air

    ************************************************************

    Peace. [Sole]

Why can only 1 poem be posted by each person?

  • Sean Dohr

    ?

  • No Need For A Name

because then u can only win once. ifyou entered two poems u'd have an unfair advantage over those that entered only once.

  • Sean Dohr

I don't know, the rules do not state that only one poem may be entered by each person. Also, he could choose the better of the two poems and discard the other one... Just my thought, it doesn't matter either way. : )

  • No Need For A Name

well yes i thought about that but then there would be less poems entered in the contest

  • Truest Lies

    I befriend the end,
    Arms outstretched,
    Fingers grasping the light,
    That filters through my soul.
    I know the end,
For I have met it halfway many times,
And been showed right down that path again,
    To stand in the middle,
    And look at the start.
It has been a bad start,
    And a sad start,
But I trust this end now.
Somehow there is beauty in knowing,
That you have reached your destination,
Even if you feel that you have not gone so far yet,
And there was so much to do.
    But I knew,
    I knew all along.
    This is the end,
    And I embrace it,
    Even as I release it.
No love has ever had an end,
And this is one heart that you will never bend.
This is the end of my ending,
    And I close my arms,
    Even as my soul darkens,
    And the light goes away.
    I put away the blade,
And step away from the edge.
This is me, and this is where I stay.

    COMPLETE WITH RED STAINS.

    She's beautiful as always
    With flowers in her hair
    To everyone around her
It seems shes free of care

    As she walks the hallways
    Her perfect smile gleams
    Inside everything's a blur
She fights to keep her dreams

    Her gorgeous eyes they gaze
As they hold back the tears
    She secretly falls apart
    Not telling her unsuspecting peers

Flawless body hasn't eaten in days
    They just think she's pretty
She's failing like her broken heart
Most insecure girl in the city

She stares in the mirror upset
    Disgusted with what she sees
    They've been wanting her forever
But all she can notice is displease

    She's never known perfection yet
She's just dealing with the pains
But her outfits as beautiful as ever
    Complete with red stains...
