    Summer Storm
    by Alyson

(I decided to try something new (to make mother happy) so I wrote this. Please read it and tell me what you think)

    I walk to the window
    And sit on the floor
    I look outside
    Watching the rain pour

    It looks so peaceful
    So silent and still
    I watch the rain fall
    And land on the windowsill

    Each little drop
    Makes its own little sound
    They drip, splash, and fall
On to the warm summer ground

    I step out the door
    I walk in the rain
The lightning cuts through the sky
    Like a mark of pain

    The shower turns violent
    Thunder now booms
    I run for the door
    Heading straight for my room

    I stoke up the fire
    So cozy and warm
    I gaze out the window
    At the dangerous storm

    The wind starts to howl
    The lightning flashes
    I cover my ears
    As the thunder crashes

    The power flickers
    The lights go out
    Light from the fire
    Help me to move about

    I hope to myself
    The storm will soon end
    The lightning abides
    Quickly becoming my friend

    The lights flicker on
    The end as arrived
    The storm as subsided
    I HAVE SURVIVED!

    Free And Beautiful No Longer

The ocean tides rise and fall with
the rhythm of the drumming Earth.
    Pulsing through the meadow born
from peace and keeping with Father Time.

    "Shed the shadows haunting thee,"
    pleaded those ancient timber trees.
"Engrave the soil of our world with
the very markings that create our souls."

Mountains though built to last may one day
fall to brittle pieces and crumble through
our fingertips and stay embedded in our nails.

Mother Nature moves her paintbrush against
the night while trying to make our shining light.
Yet even still our stars do not glow but fade within city sky.

Enchanted rivers had once held our whispered secrets.
Now we have betrayed. The thunderous Heavens above
our heads release their tears in curtained rain.

The Summer breeze is tainted with
    the smoke mornings of buildings.
Wasting more than they do give
to make their world full of green.

    She presses her hands
    against the window glass
while waiting for the time to pass.

    He leans his back against
the tree thinking about how it
once had been. Free and Beautiful.

She wipes her tears with the back
of her hand. Shaking from the cold.

    He feels the warmth from
    the base of wood.
Hearing the heartbeat of the living.

    Thunderstorm
    By:poonam

In the dark of the night
    the rain blurs all sight
in the dark of the night
    teens smile in delight
    the lightning lights the sky
    the rain blurs all sight
    making the senses lie
    fearful the moon calls
    the lightning lights the sky
    all conversation stalls
    to see the clouds war
    fearful the moon calls
    shaken to its very core
    where ever are you now
    to see the clouds war
    do you in fear bow
in the dark of the night
    where ever are you now
in the dark of the night

    The Balcony At Midnight
    Yes you look so grand
    A shadow in the moonlight
    Come and Grasp my hand

    Hear the music playing
    Dance slowly to the beat
    The Midnight children are praying
That Dawn won't take their seat

    You and I'll go Dancing
    Surrounded in Ivy-covered Charm
Yes, the Magic is Just starting
    So Cost-Free from harm..

    God was probably grinning
    When we were renting time
    "Let loose in the Beauty.
And pay back your dues and fines."

Let loose for just one second
    Let yourself just fly
    Then you'll be in Heaven
    On this Balcony of mine
    ________________________

Well it was meant to be naturey.

I think it's a nature poem, people may think otherwise.

But it's Midnight Nature on a Balcony, written yesterday(=

    Underwater:

    And the silence perfumes madness
With a drifting scent; the words
Stand tall, lonely and oh so square
    Like Wise Old Men, deciding
    Their fate and times: skipping,
    On the dotted-line, through
    Feeling; thrashing it's stinger,
Wasp-like, up and down our spine
    'Til we turn like snakes and coil;

    Wrapped in red sun, shining,
    Spelling out across the rocks
Like an open wound, and salt-
    Water lashing against the sores.

As the tide tugs between us,
We slither towards a common goal
For sand or water- anything really
That's not quite as jagged as reality,
    Or as toothy as perception
    With his hungry hands opened
    To desensitize feeling; weathering rocks
Into perches where we'd sit upon and kiss
The waves as they'd break, cold,
    Upon our ankles- smooth
And imperfect; We, if there's any
Chance of us, must become the rock
As much as we're the wave
    Sliding across foreign shores
    Like some endless serpent
    Lying in a starry repose
    Stretched out, waiting
    To strike.

    ~Loch Ness~

Below the murky water she lurks. As if she knows, as if she desires, the attention we are so willing to give her. But, unlike us, she realizes that the pleasure is in the chase. She stays deep beneath the surface, under the radar, breaching the water with her long rigid neck, for only few of us to see. Like a tease, she allows only subtle glimpses of her prehistoric beauty. But, one day, you can be sure, the chase will end. When all have given up hope, she will reveal herself. Her beauty everlasting...

    Love between moon and lake...

The sky is so dark and moon is so white,
yet they are together every night.

The lake so calm holds the moon,
in the silent whispers of night.
The moon is shining so white,
    spreading its pure light.

The breeze blows to touch the soul of lake,
and tries to kiss the moon lying on the bed of the lake.

    The lake shivers and thrills,
with the blow of insane breeze.
The moon is lying on the chest of the lake,
and the tide is disturbing the peace.

The birds' chirping breaks the silence,
the leaves are singing and playing the violin.
All the creatures like frog, swan and dove,
are together humming the song of love.

The moon whizzles in the arms of the lake,
feeling the love for his own sake.
But he knows he cannot be there forever,
because his fate is with the sky and not with the lake ever.

Still the love between the moon and the lake is so strong,
they meet every night breaking all the bonds.
The sky can just look at the scene,
as he knows the real one is with him...

so does it have to be newly written?

    heres one thats not

the snow is cold beneath pine trees
and colder still the earth below
yet still the blood red flowers bloom
and lie here scattered in the snow

like drops of blood on pure white skin
    these perfumed petals do lie
    the vines shedding their ornaments
as they will until winter's chill does die

if it does not count, then oh well

    Ruby

actully, i worte this in this month!!!!!!1
