CONTEST OVER!!!!!

I'm bored so I thought that I would start a contest. Here goes....you need to write a poem that involves rain. I don't care how it is used but rain needs to be in it.

Rules:
1 Must be your own work
2 One poem per person
3 No Explicit
4 Ends after 15 poems

Rain

Rain listening to the fears tearing my soul to pieces.
Tatters drowning beneath the water streaming to earth.
Bruised heart beating to the drums of the moving world.

My hands show nothing but the marks you left behind.
Thinking back just makes me shiver on the inside.
Winds continue to roll with the thunder of the past.

Give me a blanket to protect me from your voice.
Water reflecting the face that made my every choice.
Sliding my fingers across the watered down dirt.

I feel you watching me when I am walking.
Like the rain falling, my tears keep coming.
My tears keep coming, when I see you there.

~It Couldn't Be~

Blood drips from my veins,
like rain from the sky.
Hits the carpet like a waterfall,
sitting here, waiting to die.

I start bleeding profusely,
after one last slit.
My body starts to shiver,
my brain and heart start to quit.

I can feel the blood dripping,
not just on the floor.
It's running down my arm,
can't feel pain anymore.

My eyes close and re-open,
now I can't see.
My body is breaking down,
there is nothing left of me.

I try to stand, but I can't,
and crash down to the floor.
Now, I start to see things,
I've never seen before.

A bright light and a hand,
that is held out toward me.
I think to myself, is it God,
no way, it couldn't be...

Like the Rain

Like the rain, I embrace you to let you know I'm there
When you cry, I wash the tears away
Everytime the world seems so bad, I let you run to me

You can let it out, just as I do
My tears soaking into the ground
Yet, instead of pain it's peaceful
Like the rain, I make you feel calm

Like the rain, I turn a warm day so icy cold in anger
So wet from drowning in despair
And yet, as a precious gift
Famine from drought will disappear

After I leave, you can never forget me
For in my place stands a stream of color
The once-dark clouds have been bleached white with purity
And people smile once again

I am the rain you dance in when you're sad or happy
I am the rain that calms you down
I am the rain that leaves puddles for you to play in
And like the rain, I wash off your frown

Rain on Life
By No Need For A Name

Rain seeps through the cracks of life
Absorbed by that of death
Plays with the truth of God
Works its magic on all the lies

Rain is the eyes way of telling a story
One drop one word
To many drops have fallen
To many stories retold

Rain is your words
Rain is your death
Rain is your life
Don't rain on my life
Don't put out my flame
Don't rain on my life

Rain Shadow

Descending down upon me
The never-ending rain
Of hate, mistrust and bribery,
Of misery and pain

Falling from the dark sky
A shroud of crystal drops
Falling, every tear I cry
This rain just never stops

Denial, cold, alone
A mournful face, I stare
Heart as cold as stone
Waiting, in despair

Shrugging off the hate
Of those who pass me by
I can only sit and wait
As rain falls from the sky

Black Rainbow

I see the rain,
I see your pain,
I see a rainbow,
I see your sorrow

I feel the sun,
I feel the gun,
I feel the love,
I feel nothing above

I want to hold you,
I want to fall through,
I want nothing more,
I want to kill my sore

Rainbow, Rainbow
Why do you cry?
Is it because I lie?

Darling, Darling
Why did you die?
I know now its because I lied

Now your my black rainbow,
Lifeless and dead,
But the colour will return,
Once I clear my head

Tears in the rain...

Leaving my hand in the crowded world,
you swept away like the wind blows.
I kept searching you till the distance,
may be you are standing so close.

My heart started bleeding,
My eyes started crying,
My tears started flowing,
And my soul was dying.

The grief inside me,
came out through my tears.
But you were far from me to see,
that how much pain I got to bear.

All looked at me with the sympathizing eyes,
as they could feel that i was in pain.
But you did not even turned to see my tears,
but you thought it was just another rain.

My expectations got burried in the earth,
And joys were blown with the rain.
My love was lost in the crowd,
Now every rain reminds me of this pains...

meaning of rain

Falling droplets; they say the gods cry.
but they are not the tears of a child lord
nor the weeping of a mourning goddess
that hateful resounding noise above
is not the anger of almighty Zeus

no, the heavens are not so sad
human punishment is not so anger filled
the gods laugh, not scorn
that rain is god's joke on sinful beings
spit not tears falls from the heavenly bodies
the gods bowl in lands of the divine. they laugh.

why cry when they reside in a world
where the days are intertwined
when they live in a painless paradise
so gods giggle and mock
the horrible race of man.

Rain

You can’t stop the rain from falling down
If you listen closely you can hear a sound
The rain can pour hard or even light
it can make thunderstorms during the night

Sometimes rain pours like ice
and it looks really quite nice
Sometimes rain can pour like snow
It looks very beautiful you know

Rain is so beautiful in every way
I can’t wait till it rains today
So I can see it splash and hit the floor
and watch it do so much more

I like rain
and the rain I can see
but when it pours hard
just let it be

awsome....keep them coming.

The black rain

The black rain is falling,
Destroying all in its path
Staining their souls,
Playing out its evil wrath,
None can escape
As it tumbles downwards,
Spreading the evil
To gather in hoards,
As the sky turns to black
The red lightning shall flash
The ground shall burn
The world turns to ash,
The black rain continues,
Across the land,
Creating chaos and feelings
Of which, we can never understand.
We watch it coming
See it plummeting from the skies,
Do nothing to prevent it
As the world around us dies.
For the rain is our sins
Those events we create
The damage and pollution
Things we have come to realise
But now it’s too late.
The damage is done,
The rain shall descend,
We can only watch it,
As it brings our end.

Perfect Pair

It seems only yesterday I met you online
I knew we'd be together soon in time.
From now on you'll always be mine
Because no one can take you away.

So much time has gone by now,
Don't ask why or how.
I don't know why, I don't know how,
All I know is that you're mine.

Together we're the perfect pair,
We can withstand any obstacle,
No matter what is thrown at us.
You're the person I'll be w/ the rest of my life.

I was miserable and paining
And waiting for you, for sure
Thinking now that you'll be coming
We'll be together like before

Without doubt, you came
But with a misunderstanding
Throwing on me, the blame
Of someone elses planning

You gave no time to explain
Just turned and walked away
Leaving me in this anguish again
Once more; feelings going astray

Now I'm standing here
Within all the sorrow
Wishing there were another
Life I could borrow

But even then I wonder
If you would still do the same
Leaving me in this weather
Making me endure all the shame

That I dont really deserve
But you want me to feel
Threatening the immortal love;
You've brutally tried to kill

Drops are now drenching me
So I'm kissing the rain
For all I could wish it to be
Your forgiveness washing away the pain

Cut

People ask questions, it's not like I'm taking a life
I just reach into my drawer and pull out my knife
It's like all of my problems, they need a remedy
And when they blade hits my skin, it's serenity
Not one of my troubles seems to get any harder
When I push the blade in farther and farther
Suddenly everything begins to spin all around me
As I think of all the things I wish I could be
I try to stay steady, but instead I look my step
This is my one secret that is better off kept
I am now in a pile, sprawled across the floor
I brace and pull up my body using the door
I hear footsteps coming and put the knife away
I'll have to save the rest to de on another day
I look down only to see my battered wrists
Worse than wounds that can be healed by a kiss
I can tell that the scars have begun to form
Yet somehow inside me a new faith is born

Voice Of My Tears

Falling
Like a drop of rain

Sailing
Towards the river of your heart

Feeling
Like a part of your pain

Hanging
In between so called living art

Praying
With this new vision all around me

Crawling
To kiss your lips with mine

Fading
Before another one is set free

Crying
To make every scar shine

Watching this darkness so clear

Wondering
Within these eyes so near

Behind every unseen fears

TRUTH DIVINE

Impregnable imagination
Everyone hates me
A single tear will not escape
Into this bloodstained sea

Heated words that froze my heart
Blisters on my soul
Splinters to the softest hands
And eyes of blackened coal

Systems failed to jump my heart
Bodies in the sky
Standing on a rain filled cloud
With wings that cannot fly

Like eyelashes they’re glued with tears
And hatred of a friend
Bruised the raindrops from the sky
As they start to descend

Departure rapid crystal clear
A Tinkle as it breaks
Synthetic smiles and plastic skin
The desire in us wakes

Sorry its taking so long but I have no time. I got home last night and my computer wasn't working. I'll get the results out tonight.
