Confused

I like this guy in my taekwondo class, and I really want to know if he feels the same way about me. When we first met (I didn't notice him before), he came over to me and shook my hand. I thought that it was pretty cute because he was being all polite and everything. But what's happening now is confusing. When we're far apart, he doesn't look at me. But when we're close together, he stares at me (without blinking) in the eye. But then, I stare back at him, in the eye. Whenever I do that, I can see that his eyes seem to be telling me something. It's weird. Maybe it's just an illusion. I don't know. Anyways, after each class, we were to shake hands with people in our class and talk about our weekends. Once, we shook hands and I didn't realize that we haven't let go of our hands during the whole conversation (about our weekends). We eventually let go, but I don't remember who did it first. Another time, he waited for me to finish my conversation with another person in my class, and then shook my hand. He laughed at my lame joke once and he complimented on my kicking.

I'm really confused because he's friendly to me one day, and ignores me (but still continues to stare) the next day. I want to know what's going on in his mind. I know I could just ask him and make things clear, but I don't want to make things awkward. The last thing I want is him avoiding me.

............................. All I can say is wait and let it progress...

He points his feet towards my direction, but he doesn't play with his hair. Rub anything with his hands? Maybe I should start watching his body language. But the only thing he ever does is to stare at me. Oh! His eyes do seem to shine when he stares at me though. I don't know.

Be patient, talk to him more and see where things go from there. Somethings bound to happen if he likes you.

I guess I'll just have to let it flow and see where destiny leads me.
