A True Fighter

I've met a man
from this poetry site
whose heart is filled
with happiness and delight

He's had some rough times
but pulled through it all
by keeping in his mind
you can bounce back after a fall

He loves little kids
and will act like one too
but for all of them
there isn't anything he wouldn't do

His smile is bright
but doesn't always reach his eyes
for within them
the sadness he hides

He has a brilliant mind
an awesome sense of humor
a wonderful personality
and this is no rumor

For the man that I've written about
is well known on this site
he writes amazing poetry
and will fight for what's right

I'm honored to know him
he's made my life brighter
a beautiful man
a true fighter.

This is about Bob Shank. I’ve never said thank you for all you’ve done. You’ve taught me many things about life and I could never explain how grateful I truly am for that. I’ve grown as person and in many ways bettered myself from things you’ve shown me. You’ve offered advice and have helped through many obstacles since my joining P&Q…for that you are an angel. I’m only a DOT on the map of people you have touched but I thought you should know anyway. You’re an amazing person and you will make a WONDERFUL father…for Sunny and those babies are truly blessed! When I see someone in desperate need of love
