A Friend Indeed

You have never seen but more
than a picture of me nor I of you
yet everyday I feel I know you
like you are someone I once knew

Never passing judgment on me
listening with all your heart
understanding my life's tortures
that sometimes tears my world apart

You are an inspiration to many
with words true and wise
completely honest about your life
never hiding beneath a disguise

Showing true compassion
something many of us have seen
through a kind word to those
that others have treated mean

You are like the sunshine
that chases away the rain
a rare precious jem
which only a few remain

You have left footprints on my soul
that will never wash away
introducing us to Sluvious
who always makes my day

You are someone I am honored
to call a dear, dear friend
and if we never meet in person
we'll meet in heaven in the end

I dedicate this poem to none other than
Mr.Bob Shank . Through his words and compassion
has taught us many lessons of life .
I am honored to have had the pleasure to
meet this dear sweet man . And I am even more
honored to call him my friend .Even though he
teases me alot .....he is still a sweetheart
in my eyes ......lol

Her poetry I always adore
for her style is so unique
she is one of my favorites
an idol, so to speak

Visiting our group once
touching my heart in a way
that I was sad to see her leave
only wished that she could stay

With great sense of humour
she always makes me laugh
if I could have a twin
she'd be my other half

We shared a funny thread once
I got her drunk on green beer
even though she's so far away
feels though she is so near

Her poetry is so touching
leaves you longing to read more
a friend that I someday hope to see
behind the knock at my front door

my favorites for a long time .

Daisy Fields

Memories within the field
As daisies begin to grow
A flower I cherish each year
Laying within my comfort

A shared passion I have learned
Between me and my sister
Where the jokes continue
Where we both just let loose

A connection between arts
Of finger painting browns
Writing poetry in our hearts
Relaxed within our daisy fields

Seeing things sunny side up
Continuing the constant laughs
With my hippy loving sister
Who’s bond has grown strong

My Long Lost Twin

Poetically speaking
she's simply one of the best
writing of heartfelt dreams
with such vigor and zest

Exposing her thoughts
each conveyed line by line
as the beating of her heart
keeps in perfect time

I'm thankful to the Lord
for aligning the stars just right
For in total darkness
she's my eternal light

A truly enchanting friend
whom I'm blessed to know
I'll carry you in my heart
always everywhere I go

So here's to a friendship
that's unique and true
to my long lost twin
