Help....repeating writing techniques

I always seem to be writing with the same words or phrases has anyone got any tips on how to think of topics or just help with wording ...would mean alot

what i do is think of a topic and then a message that i want to convey and write a list of words that relate to that topic/message, feelings etc and try to fit them all together, its easier if you dont try deliberatley to rhyme and then youl get more inspired as you write. good luck xx

I went through that. I stopped writing for a while. I would write things down...like one line here and there and get new ideas from those. I also came up with titles and then wrote poems from the titles...that helped tremendously as it challenges you to think. Eventually I started writing things I would never expect to write.

try a different theme or a totally different subject to work with.. that might help a little bit

read more poetry, and check out different rhymes

Read other peoples poetry, you can really learn alot just from reading... how i got so much better at my poetry and form, try being more descriptive on your subjects. Like describing your picture, the picture you want the reader to see when they're reading your work, painting it more vividly for them. ^_^ take care
