should i wait for him

well my boyfriend just broke up with me. and okay we decided to be JUST friends. he said he just needed to clear his mind for a couple of days and once he's done dat if we wanted to get back together but i don't know if i should wait or not. i really do love him and i want to wait but i see no use of waiting cuz the only reason he broke up with me was cuz alot of people were saying i could do better than him and he actaully cared for what they said and when people said i could do better than him i really didin't give a damn. sould i wait or not plz help.

are you 100% sure the only reason he broke up with you was because others were saying you could do better? Because here's the thing- he could genuinely care for you SO much that he really does believe you can do better and broke up with you for that reason. OR it could have been just an infatuation and he's just using that excuse as an out now. I'm sorry that sounds extremely pessimistic but you have to really consider whether the two of you are on the same page when it comes to the relationship. Maybe you should take this time to consider the relationship as well and think if you really do LOVE him or if it's an extreme INFATUATION you have for him, especially because the two are so easily meshed together. After he 'clears his mind' and you think it over as well, just tell him how you really feel, and how it didn't matter to you what others were saying. If he really does love you he would accept that and you two should be back together, if not don't be devestated about it. there will be plenty of more boyfriends before you find the one you'll want to keep for good.

Okay, if you love him, and if he said he needed a couple days to clear his head, how could you move on so fast? I've been with my boyfriend 3 years, and if we ever broke up, it would take me at least a year to get over him. So, if you love him, tell him, and make sure he understand that. If you feel you two have no future, tell him. Good Luck

Well my ex boyfriend told me the exact same thing and that we were just on a break and for me to keep his class ring because we were gonna get back together... well that was back in OCTOBER!!! and in February he got his frieds to get his ring back from me and turs out he wanted to give it to one of my really good friends and then they broke up like a week later and now we talk less and less and he is a MAJOR MAJOR butthead!! so just be careful hunn!!

Okay, first of all. If he said "he needed a couple days to clear his head", well, really if you liked him, then it would take more then a couple days to get over him. Only if you like him, then you would wait.
