it depends why you were depressed in teh first place...for me i get depressed around the "aniversary" of the day something happened to me ... i think it takes a very strong person to be able to over come triggered depression |

Eventually, everyone grows out of something that i like to call TD, or Twink Depression. Twink Depression is a common downturn in a teenager's (aka the TWINKIE) mind when their hormones are busting through the walls of their sanity. This causes unusual eating habits (which could result in weight gain OR loss), crying, headaches, unsual sleeping habits, unnecessary suicidal thoughts and self-mutilation, low self esteem, etc. |

Hey i personally think it depends, some types of depression you get over, depending on causes, while others you just hide away, and try to cope with. If its over a big thing then I personally think the memories and scars stay with you for life. |

Depression is a state of mind that can be dealt with, on the large scale, but in general everyone is going to be depressed once and a while no matter what happens, just b/c it is a common emotion. But yes, depression can be gotten over, meaning you can get past being sad all the time. |

I think it depends on the individual really, we all have our up and down moments, at times diagnose ourselves as depressed when clinically we aren't we're just not our usual selves or life situations are more than we can handle at a time. |

I think people can get over depression. Personally, I think that pills are a bunch of crap. Might as well give me some sugar pills, and you'd have the same result. I think that the only way to get over it fully, is to help yourself.. Counseling helps, if it's the right kind. But I think that you need to make yourself get over it, if that makes any sense. The way I see it, is depression is a state of mind. You can do anything with your mind. =/ But that's just MY opinion. |

well personally i believe it really depends on the situation and the person for example when somone get's their heart broken by a lover some people never get over it some people just shrug it off and move on a some people well kill themselves of course there alot of in-betweens to all that but everyone deals with things diffrently thats why it is impossible to know exactly what someone is going through but anyways some people will never get rid of depression and some people will just let it go it just depends on how the person thinks |
