    Title: Last Dance
    By Drew Gold

    you seemed so real;

    an angel, slipping down
    through your ring of fire
whilst into the night, as ash
    you'd walk the wind
    and graze the edge
    of love-
    dancing above me, reborn
    like nails sinking straight
    through the coffin, into flesh;

death is with me every moment
that you smile and every kiss
is a reminder that i'm still not alive
    within your grasp

an angel, stripped of your halo
    yet still holding tight
    to the mess of flesh
    and metal skin-grafts
    you've applied:
    words
    endearing my heart
    to the brick-wall
    of silent indifference

    but even as i lapse
    from this moment
    to that,
    you still seem so real;
an angel, bathed in the fire
    of solitude and singular wanting
    while the world turns
    its back
    and you take my hand;
    sleep-walking through the motions
of a dire and delirious dance,
    you step upon the altar
    and cry out your demands.

    it all ends, once again
    with lost chances
    or forgotten excuses.

    Title: Last Dance
    By Italian Stallion

    What took you this long
To realize my love for you
I search night and day for the words
    To tell you so

    Everynight, I dream
    About how it could be
    With you and me
    But, I will never know

For you are my best friend
And I don't want to change a thing
You mean the world to me
And I don't want to see you hurt

    Will you take my hand
    And keep on dancing
For I don't want to have a last dance
I know in the end I will have no remorse

For I have saved a friend
    Not just any friend
    But, my best friend
    From being emotionally hurt

I love you for how you are
    Never change a thing
There is one lucky fellow In this world
    That is waiting for you

    And when you find him
    I'll be by your side
I'll help you though thick and thin
    For we are best friends

    We are True friends
    And that will never change

    Title: Last Dance - WINNER
    By Sunny

    Dancing until dawn
    Just my lover and I
    Twisting and twirling
As the stars filled the sky

    Your hand across my back
    The wind beneath our feet
    Two destined lovers
    Dancing was so sweet

the day that  you fell ill
    Your body was so week
Holding your hand, kissing it softly
song played on; our future was bleak

The day you left this world
My heart would dance no more
    The big band played on
As I waltzed you to heavens door

    Title: Last Dance
    By Poonam

the ground shakes beneath the feet
of the girls and boys as they meet
on the wood dance floor divine
I’m gonna make this last dance mine

the end of hard work and four long years
the finish line of our high school careers
we all gather one last time
to dance and sing songs of rhyme

you and me its almost over
frankly its been quite a blur
so clap your hands for our future success
and hope to god we won’t make a mess

on the dance floor with all of you
our final dance sadly it is true
all you people that I’ll never see
I hope that you’ll also miss me

life is over yet still beginning
c’mon now lets all loudly sing
    doesn’t matter if you weren’t a friend
lets make this the happiest end

lets dance the last dance tonight
and show our love in all its might
feel that beat; fall into a trance
because this is our last dance

Title: Life in a Glass House - WINNER
    By Bob

    my soul has been exposed
on display for all to see
    windows bear the existence
of the man I've come to be

    they seem to be tinted
    or covered with rain
    for few have the desire
    to witness the pain

    and yet they throw rocks
    for laughter and fun
    my exterior too strong
    as no damage is done

for my heart was already shattered
    many many years ago
    the left over shards
    are what you now know

    life in a glass house
    is always so crystal clear
yet the very words I write
    you never seem to hear........

Title: Life in a Glass House
    By Kaylee

Can I be honest with you?
    I’m scared...

    Midnight moon gliding behind
the clouds which held my tears,
spilling drops of his touch on the
grass that used to cut me so.
    Freedom sitting outside just waiting
for me to take my first breath.
I used to reach for it but even one
    blade caused me such distress.
    Evening storm brewing within the
    confines of this unstable heart,
forcing me to drink the venomous
thoughts I had once in my mind.
Rationing the amount of love I have in me, wondering if I really am here.
Instead of being locked inside this
    never ending hailstorm cursing me.

    Can you keep a secret?
    I’m terrified...

    Lights circle my broken world,
    glistening shards of glassed dreams.
Touch upon the skin that encloses
this world I wish to just forget.
But even when I scream for rescue,
it’s lost in a forgotten whisper.
Then again these waves of emotions
    crash into me without warning.
    Suffocating without being given the
chance to feel life once more.
Knowing the earth is there but
being locked in this coma state.
Laying a hand on the water and
not even feeling it soak my skin.
But in a different time, knowing
the droplets are on my hands.

Can you listen for a moment?
This is Life in a glass house...

Title: Life in a Glass House
    By Amanda Bee

Those who are weak should never attack others
Or at least, that's what I've been told
They say treat others the way you want to be treated
In fact, it's a rule that's been written in gold

If not, the pieces will shatter upon you,
The walls will come tumbling down
There's no room in there to lash out, my friend
'Cause you fear hearing that awful sound

Of splintering glass hitting the pavement
We can all see every move that you make
Of smashing pieces raining down from above
no, you couldn't live if that glass were to break

So tuck those stones back into your pockets
And catch a glimpse of your reflection as you pass
For this is your life in a glass house, I'm afraid
Being ever so careful not to rupture the glass

    Title: Missing Pieces
    By Sole

    Sitting, playing in the light
    Putting a puzzle together
The final image is in sight
You try hard to forget her

How she came into your life
    Friendly like the remedy
    Then drew out her knife
    Stabbing, like the enemy

    Puzzle pictures forming
As you enter in the space
    Happy memories, warming
    Try to forget her face

How she came into your mind
    Smiling, in perfection
    Leaving her behind
    You show her just rejection.

    Picture becomes clearer
    Easier to visualise
    Like looking to a mirror,
    Trying to forget her eyes

You turned her back on her
    Though she never showed hate
    It’s her face you blur
    Just because you couldn’t relate

    The puzzle’s almost done
    You’ve nearly finished your game
    And every part but one
    Is inserted in the frame

    How she was always there
Though you showed her no release
The only one who truly cares,
    She is your missing piece

    Title: Missing Pieces
    By Jacklyn

    Drowning within self-hate
    Force feed by enemy hands
    Hurt for their pleasurable laughs
A dagger wedged into the heart

    Loneliness swells within the mind
Stuck with fear of being herself
    Trapped from finding her peace
    Gathering strength to not cry

Trying her best to shut him down
    Left within darkness, evil jokes
    As some classmates joined,
    Breaking her piece by piece

    Many witnessed her daily pain
Still it continues, no one steps in
    Becoming the missing pieces
    Who avoid to intervene?

    Title: Missing Pieces - WINNER
    By katie!>©

A million special pieces go missing from my heart
Lying shattered on the ground, where I fell apart
Picturesque background of sunsets in the night
With weeping willows shaking in the midst of all their fights

I'm searching for those pieces, gone missing from my soul
Wholeheartedly I want them, to make me truly whole
While I lie awake at night, I speak a gentle prayer
Come back to me my loved ones, if you should only care

Missing pieces from that twinkle, that lay there in your eye
Which faltered then disapeared as time passed us by
Replaced with the very fear, that we all feel and cry
As weeks turn into months and our bitter tears dry

A love that once did flower in each and every mind
Has wilted oh so gently on the beaches left behind
As I wander down the shoreline, throwing stones into the water
I search for a piece, a man, I used to be his daughter

A million different pieces, each one missing from myself
As I find each precious lost one I place it on my minds shelf
A million different pieces, each as perfect as a tear
Once I find every last piece, there will be no need to fear
