here's what i think. I think he really cares for you, and you care for him right?
Then if he feels he needs to go back to uni, then you respect his wishes becayse you care for him. Maybe you should try a long distance relationship, if it doesnt work then okay, if it does then great.
I know its hard being apart from someone so close so it will be painful.
Would you be willing to wait for him? do you think you could?

I'm into the same situation but I hvnt told my boyfriend that I'll move..he knows that i MIGHT but I hvnt told him yet that we really are intending to!! but we will stay like we are..telephone calls and seeing each other from time to time..holidayz and so..so you still can stay together..thats if you really love him to death..and if you really want the best for him!! and him, If he really loves you..I dont think it wud be the best for him to break up!!..but as you said u agreed to separate...well, do you really want that???? I mean if you really love him you shudnt hv said that!!
