Poem+ story=?

If you kind of write a story, but put it into poetry style, what does that make it? A poem and a story..just a story or just a poem? Is there a new name for it? I got a comment (from Just Wishes..didn't take offense to it hun! thanks) and she said that my poem was basically a story...which made me think, so what is it then? Just a story in a poem or can we call it something else?

It's a poem that tells a story. I have many of them (Especially my series poems)

it's poetry. However, if it looks like this on the page:

it's prose. The layout determines the style.

i just call it a poem fic. i write storys like that but there are really depressing and long and i cant really post it here.
