we are unable to change our passwords. It has been mentioned before though, so hopefully that is something that Janis can implement fairly quickly when he returns.

you can e-mail Janis your screen name, current password, and what you want the new password to be. then he will change it for you. i personally think it needs to stay that way so that there is no way people will be able to lock us out of our accounts by changing our passwords.

just because someone wants to change their password doesn't mean they told someone.... it is a good idea to change your passwords periodically... at work, our computers prompt us to change them once a month. It's for security purposes... so people can't hack in. It's also a good idea to use letters AND numbers in your password as well as some caps/some lower case letters/numbers (yes capped numbers will be symbols...but you don't have to remember the symbols just remember that you capped the numbers...) anyway... the more different type characters you use, the harder it is for someone to guess/hack into your password.
