Poetry and Pop Culture

Have you ever wondered where poetry might rank within the overall number of interests that people have? One gauge is the rankings for the most popular search terms submitted on internet search engines. For the past week “Poetry” ranked in the 93rd position. That placed poetry in a position ahead of soccer, health and even John Kerry but far below Paris Hilton, music, movies and thongs. Just an observation.

Well at least we beat soccer :p
