    Madison,

I know what you compeltey going through it was very diffuicult for me as well when I found out. The thing I knew to do was be strong and always be by her side when she needs something and alway and I mean always tell her you love her and remember that you will be supportive of her when she goes through her chemo. If you local town has an I can Cope class I would strongly recommend that you go through it they have one-on-one advice and have a person you can talk to about it. If you wanna talk to me anymore feel free to e-mail me at reneespeedie99@aim.com and I will be more and willing to help you through this difficult time. I just want you to know the thing I did the most was to be STRONG AND BE THERE FOR HER :) Hope I helped ya out

    Hi Madison

I have been in a similiar situation and know how hard it is to cope sometimes. My Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer about 9 years ago and is still fighting it today. She has been in remission three times but the cancer just keeps coming back. She's now even more stubborn than before and although I am her full time carer she still demands her independance and keeps enjoying life.

Last year I was also diagnosed with breast cancer, at 18, and like my Mum soon learnt to fight it head on. Thankfully my cancer is now in remission, but in a strange way I am glad that I had cancer, as now I know what my Mum is going through (to some extent) and feel more able to help her. Maybe if you find out more about your Mum's illness and it's treatment you will feel less scared about it and more able to help aswell.

When people are diagnosed with Cancer, they sometimes forget that they don't have to fight the battle alone. Let your Mum know how much you care about her and that you will help her fight this. Something as simple as a cuddle at the end of the day can make all the difference.

I hope your Mum beats this cancer and I will keep your family in my thoughts.
