Out on the stage, taking my place,
I see everyones smiling face.

A dancer I am, main character, I'm not,

I hope that it's me that, you also, see.

I recall before I met you, I was lost and alone,
My heart had to beat, but it was cold as stone.
Now in my dreams you slowly repair this heart,
I wished you would save me from the start.

So, only in my dreams, although it isn't fair,
It's better to see you then, then no where.
So if in my dreams, you only love me, then okay,
I'll sit here, dreaming, from day to day.

Under the Umbrella

A rainy day
with my umbrella held tight
i walk through the crowd
as i pass you look into my eyes
and i stop to offer you cover from the rain

you say no thanks
but i stay any way
so now together
trying to stay dry
we begin our talk

on and on it drags
we walk past our destinations
saying we can go back around
and now it is nightfall
and we must come out from under the umbrella

Broken...

I wish one could see the grief in my eyes,
and deep inside me a pain lies.
No one i can see who can hear my complaints,
but i can hear everyone who call me insane.

The talks people make against me, i know,
not to console me but to make me feel low.
This cruel world makes the conspiracies on your back,
and at this point of time a loved one i lack.

Living the life alone is like clapping with one hand,
we need some one close on this barren land.
But one time comes when we face the world alone.
as if standing in a celebration but crying at the mourn.

The cruel realities we have to bear,
but we can face them if some one is near.
Who can hold the hand and walk across the thousands,
lending the shoulder and the broken heart who mends.

Its easy to scatter the broken heart,
by just giving a painful thwart.
The billions are there to break you, scatter you,
but its tough to find one who assembles and mends it too...

CANT LET YOU GO

The weather beaten garden clock betrays some laziness
The once precise hands have now grown rhythm-less

The laced hammock sways beneath the winking stars
And the silver moonlight floods the dale of flowers

But something strikes my heart as I lie in that light
Enveloped in the velvet silence of this queer night

The dancing flame of fire still burns the candle wick
The bottle of cherry wine lies smashed by my drunken kick

The wind is steady; blows strong without a change
But somehow this heart of mine has never felt as strange

But now my thoughts chase each other to victory
And I finally understand the cause of my misery

On this very hammock she used to be in my embrace
I used to kiss her till she fell asleep, exhaling on my face

On this quiescent trail we had patted smiling flowers
Formed imaginary hearts by joining the radiant stars

Between these very hills our winter moons had sunk
We’d break the wine bottles each time we got drunk

The butterflies had blushed upon seeing our first kiss
Laying on the fresh-cut grass, enclosed in a smitten mist

And now I lie, drunk, with wine and memories of two
I hope missing her is not something I must get used to

The air of strangeness transforms to a glacial breath
This new life of loneliness is in fact a living death

The wind puts out the candle, darkness adds to gloom
Even the gusts now bring the rosy scent of her perfume

And as it intoxicates me, my eyes turn to scour
I look around for her, until I realize she is afar

But every time a star falls, this heart of mine believes
And searches for her, once again, amidst the mocking breeze ....

A relationship bound by the court,
two parents yearning to abort.
One child's postpartum deport,
a life, from the start, out of sorts.

The help of two elders, they sought,
a custody battle, never fought.
Drug addict parents, got caught,
important lessons, never taught.

A baby that was left behind,
consequences of a legal bind.
A lifestyle of a different kind,
viewpoints from a distorted mind.

A family separated by years in time,
a life with a different rhythm and rhyme.
Two people, making up for another's crime,
always living off of their last dime.

A difficult situation from the start,
a unique picture, of an unpopular art.
A family, nearly torn apart,
two grandparents, certainly, off the charts.

An unwanted boy, now full grown,
held together by seams, left un-sewn.
Approaching life with a whole different tone,
hoping, some day, to live life on his own.

Are you still up listening in the other room
Can you hear me writing my world in a journal
The love the fear the hope of my life
Can you hear the pen scratch the parchment

Little girl come closer,
there is something you must know,
the sky is falling down tonight.
and going with it is Onir's Light.

Little girl come closer,
there is so much you need to hear.
darkness has taken over it all,
and you must stop Light's Downfall.

you destiny needs to be fufilled
you must stop the genocide,
must stop it before Midnight's Cry.

Little girl come closer,
you have so go soon.
you must fight this with time,
or you shall go closer to the sky....

On The Bus Today

On the bus today
I saw how it went down
Didn't do anything
Just kept my head to the ground

I didn't start it
I didn't want to get involved
It wasn't my fight
I just saw how it was solved

This girl was mad at this guy
For one reason or 'nother
She threw back her fist
He ducked for cover

Under the protection of
One not paying attention
A girl on her cell phone
Saying things I'd rather not mention

She got punched instead
And turned to the girl with a glare
"That was my face, you bitch!"
And they locked in a stare

Then the boy in all his manlyness
Stepped between the girls
Saying, "Let's put an end to this."
The last words I heard

That was all it took
Sent the one onto the other
Nails into hair
Screaming for blood

It took the bus driver and a cop
To finally drag them away
Still looking at one another
On the bus today

I'll say no more on this matter

There are nine poems so far. CheRRy♥ asked for their poem to be removed. PreciousIllusions' poem cannot be used because of the rhyming scheme. So we need just one more entry, or a couple if more people want to enter...

You look in the mirror what do you see?
I never know what to think.
Somedays are good.
But somedays are bad.

You go out in the street and think are they looking at me?
What are they thinking do i need to hide
Do I look good?
Or do I look bad?

You show of your talents they all stare
whats going on behind that blank face
Is it good?
Or is it bad?

But then you think to yourself
Everybody is different no ones the same
So really to yourself, your conclusion is
No matter what in life everybody is a Star.
