My honest advice would be to stop rhyming, but seeing as I am a bit biased I would also suggest different rhyming formats - try using a different format to just a-b-a-b, or maybe you could even just have the last line in each stanza rhyme, this still keeps the flow but means you are far less restricted in the words you can choose. |

I used to have that problem until I realized that words don't have to rhyme perfectly. For example, you can rhyme words that have the same sound, like day and afraid, home and alone, born and storm, etc. |
