okay coming from experience you should really think before you even consider trying to make the 1st move. I made the first move, we started something and I regret it everyday. I lost my bestfriend from tryna have a romantic relationship with him. things are not the same. so think do you really want to risk your friendship

im in love with my best friend too, and it turns out he might be in love with me too. maybe you should let him know how you feel....even in a poem if you wanna be creative! that's how i told my bff i loved him. it might take him a while to understand, or maybe even to show those same feeling back, but it'll help it along!

Think long and hard before you make a move. You don't want to ruin a good friendship.. but then theres not point in letting something pass that could be a good thing. Make it more obvious, with suggestive comments and whatnot. If you are at least 95% sure this is what you both want, then go for it. If not, wait until you are sure.x
