Publishing?

Does anyone know how I could go about trying to attempt to get published? I don't mean self-publishing either if you can. I just always had my heart set on trying to published through a regular company even if I know my attempts might not get me far for a while. I don't know any ways to get poetry accepted or where to send it to.
