if you were bi or lesbian how would you tell your parents???

I'm bi and my mom don't know I'm also 16 and my mom don't want me dating guys right now so how can I tell my mom im bi?????I really need help

i wouldn't tell her now.. if your not even supposed to be dating guys, how is she going to take it when you tell her you like girls too? i would just keep it a secret until you are allowed to date and then wait just a little while and then tell her.. i know this all sounds pretty sneaky but, it is what i would do.. good luck!

i agree...if you want any socail life at all i wouldn't tell her yet. cuz after you tell her, theres no taking it back! trust me i know... i'm bi and i didn't tell my mom but she found out through some notes she found... my name was sick f*** for the longest time, she almost took me to a private school and all that stuff. so just try to keep it a secret for now, but be careful and not leave any evidence around! and then when the perfect time comes tell her. and there will be a good time, i romose, but you just have to be patient.

Break it to them gently, and explain how you feel, and why you feel that way. Say its not their fault, but its just the way you are. They did not go wrong anywhere, and beeing lesbian or bi, is not an illness, its just a path.

I know I wouldn't tell my parents ever lolz.... but u just gotta tell her like ur her daughter and she's ur mother type of way so she'll have sympathy for u and doesn't get angry or anything...

if your mum/dad love you then they will still love you for who you are not what u are...

I wouldn't tell her. There isn't much point if you're not allowed to date anyway. Leave it for now. Only tell her when you ARE dating a girl, if you ever do.
