Human Virtues and Faults***Keep it Clean!

  • LadyPearl

Here the thing, the person before you chooses some kind of human virtue or faults and the next person tells what they feel about that word. You can use quotes or just your own thoughts.

    I'll start:

    Patience

  • PS

basically most people dont have it. its probably better to have it if you are going to be someone who deals with people. if you are hermit there is no need for patience. ..well with people anyway. pateniece is a good thing to have. most of the time. if you have too much, you spend your life just waiting.

    honesty

  • Kara !

Honesty is a good thing, but it's not always the right way to go. Could you honestly turn round to a friend who's not that pretty, and when she asks what you think of her appearance, turn around and say "well, there's room for improvement"?
Honesty is a good virtue to have, but it is better to know when the twist the truth and when to be honest.

    Ambition

  • LadyPearl

Everybody should have some kind of ambition that will drive them to achieve their goals. But too much ambition may cause a person to be addicted to money or become a workaholic. Then everything else such as family is placed last.

    Loyalty

  • Kevin

Be like a dog girl...be like a dog. Loyalty is about feeling you owe somebody something enough to be nice to them consistently and do all the things it say to do in my book, "human reactions for sociopaths"

    Jealously

  • LadyPearl

Jealously is when you want something someone else has, either it's an object or talent. If a person is that jealous, they should work to earn whatever they want, cause everything is possible.

    Pride

  • Timeless Hopeful

Pride is something that each one of us possess, we all use that it, to become more superior than the other person. Elevating qualities unique to us alone.

It is one of the most deadliest sin...Beware!!

    Hate

  • LadyPearl

Hate is a word misused. Many people say "I hate You!" during a tough time. But the word dislike is more accurate. The true meaning of hate is to strong to use

    wisdom

  • LadyPearl

No matter how low you get, there is still some hope left, even if it's just a speck. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worse.

    Dale Carnegie:
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

    Beauty

  • PS

is on the inside. no one should feel un-beautiful because of physical appearances. sadly the world is unjust. and people feel that way all the time.

    paranoia

  • LadyPearl

If you're paranoia about something. It's time to face it. Paranoia holds people back from their full potential. Face your fears and you'll feel alot better.

    Caution

  • Kevin

Caution is the cousin of fear, for children are not naturally cautious until they learn fear.

Caution is a waster of many amazing experiences, except when crossing a road.

    Self denial

  • LadyPearl

Against your own interests in favor of the interests
of others. Many people in this modern world are following trends or fads. They think this will make them more "popular" I say follow your own mind and heart and do what YOU want to do.
*I didn't which definition you wanted*

    Ignorance

  • LadyPearl

A trait that we must all have and cherish. Kindness can melt the hardest heart. But there are times when too much kindness gets nothing done and a little bit of harshness is needed.

    Rebellious

  • Void

I can't stand that word, because 90% of the time it's used by a parent who is only blaming the rebelious attitude of their teenager because of their age. (Or they're expecting that just because a child has finally turned 13-19 that they're going to start rebelling really soon and should be treated as potential mischief makers.) This isn't necissarily a fault or a virtue, being as I've found that those who want to break just a few rules live alot happier and enjoy themselves much more than those who create more and more rules for them to live by. So, though they are lively, fun people and it Could be treated as a good thing - some do take it too far and screw up many things (First on the list is their own life.)

    Greed

  • LadyPearl

Always wanting to get things no matter what. Greed causes people to cheat and bribe for money. An addiction to objects.

    Love

  • Eibutsina

Love the purest form of human expression constitutes so many different feelings and relationship and bonds. Can be of that between two partners, romantically and intimately involved. Can be that between two friends of unity and openess and honesty. Can be that of an unconditional kind between familys and pf parents for there children. Love is life and life is love its a precious virtue we should all be lucky enough to experience of one kind at least once in our life times...My mother always told me not to fall victim to virtues though ;o)

    Passion...

  • LadyPearl

A passion for a person, or a passion for some hobbie. Passion drives you love and embrace what you have.

    Curiosity

  • Void

I think curiousity is one of the best things someone can have. Given they keep their nosiness out of control, but there's no reason to give up a little wonderment all together. Curiosity never really killed the cat you know - without curiosity it would never have lived in the first place!

    Vengefulness (word?)

  • Gaara

Something one should never result to since it will cuase even greater pain to the one who bestowed than on the one being bestowed upon.

    Lonliness

  • Kara !

Everybody will feel lonely once in their lifetime, it's just part of life. But we should never let it bring us down too much, because as with everything, it'll never last.

    Tolerance

  • LadyPearl

Lighten up, humor makes people seem more approachable and kind. But of course, there are times to take things seriously and to respect other people. But light humor relaxes the air and makes people more comfortable.

    Competitive

  • Gaara

It's a double edged sword... if one wants to exceed another pearson in lets say acadmics, then the first person will excert more effore into getting that good grade and thus it's a good thing for that pearson.

If one in the situation decided that the best way to exceed the other person is by detroying them, then you can see what I mean by a double edged sword.

I think in moderate quantities it's very benificial and will create new ideas and improve many things. but if it turns into an obssesion then it's a destructive force.

I hope I made sence with what I said.

    hmmmmm.. let me think....

    Sarcasim

  • LadyPearl

I must admit, I have sarcasim, But who doesn't have a little. Sarcasim to be funny, than again it could be coming out of person who is always a pessimist. But overall, take this trait lightly, make it funny, but don't overboard and make fun of everything.

    Coward

  • Kara !

Everyone may get a little scared at times, but I have no time for cowards. You only get one life, don't waste it by hiding in the corner.

    Detachment.

  • Gaara

Deending on the situation yet again. You do need to detach yourself sometimes from people, but then again, if you dtach yoruself from everything adn everyone around you, then it's not a good thing.

    Cunning

  • Kara !

I like cunning people. You have to be intelligent in some manner to be cunning. Of course, being too cunning can cause a string of lies and deception, which is dangerous in any situation.

    Idealism

  • Kayd

It rains, we go inside, if we are ill, we cure ourselves. We can basicly do all these things, as well as more. We flex to what we want and need, even the more difficult things.

    Adaptability

  • Timeless Hopeful

Humanity is adaptability personified. If put in a situation, we can adapt ourselves to that given situation

Without adapting, we would be "fish out of water"

    So to speak....

    Necessity

  • aaron 1 remo

Nowadays we feel that our mobile phones our computers our cars are a necessity. If our car was stolen our mobile phone was lost and our computer broke down this would be a tragedy. You would be considered poor if you have no computer, phone, car etc however this is relative poverty. People in countries such as Africa and South America live in absolute poverty using all of their energy/ resources to survive. We should all re-think what we see as necessity, as there are so many people in the world living with nothing but their name.

    Spirituality

  • LadyPearl

It is good for all people to relax and get to know themselves better. Spirituality keeps a person calm and gives them hope.

    Gratitude

  • Gaara

A must and you must have gratitue for everything in your life, good and bad.

without the bad in your life you would not know how to enjoy the good in your life... so you must be grateful and have gratitude for everything in your life becuase without them you wouldn't have been were you are now.

    Diversity

  • aaron 1 remo

I'm not going to pretend I can write anything here that anyone else wouldn't already know. lol

    conscience

  • Kara !

There's something wrong with anybody who doesn't have a conscience. It plays an important part in every day life, and could be the one thing stopping us doing stupid things, murdering even.
Without your conscience, nobody would particually care who their hurting, whether other people, or themselves.

    Unity

  • Melanie

Unity is the foundation of any great achievement/country/group of people. Humans must stand beside their fellow Human, we should'nt let race or religion or heritage or gender separate us...in aspects of global disaster; it's unity that makes things happen and saves lives. Nobody can do anything completely on their own w/out at least a little help.

    Umm...integrity.

  • Gaara

this is a tricky one... you should have it and you must abide with it, but then if you truly and deeply think about it, it gets really confusing. I'll leave it at the surface.

    Love

  • Gaara

Double edge sword as everything else.
Charm use dfor good things is a good thing, but when you use it to get what you want, you then are in the bad stage,

it's good to be a charm, but ido not depend on it to cut your way through life, that's what I say.

Sadness (if it's been asked before, I'm sorry)

  • LadyPearl

You cannot experience happiness without first experiencing sadness. Sadness has so many sources connecting to one another, it is hard to understand. But if you are sad or depressed like I was once, don't give up.

    Spite

  • Jordan

Spite...well, spite can be good in certain degrees. We're all a little spitey at times, and so be it. Sometimes people do things that deserve some sort of vengeance. But at the same time, if every bone in your body screams at a chance to constantly contradict someone or be a terrible person towards them just because they did something slightly wrong, that's not exactly what kids today would call "cool." Although spite could be considered at times a useful tool pertaining to human interaction, this does not mean that it is a virtue. It basically just gives people what they deserve sometimes.

And, since we're on the topic...
