If you really like him, you should tell him. Otherwise he will continue thinking the way he is. There is a risk involved, he might not want to be your friend afterwards. The choice is up to you.

You can give it a shot and do it, end up being happy. Or you can make that shot and him not being your friend.

You can keep quiet and let things 'ride out', or end up regretting not telling him in the future.

he's your brother???? that could fuck up a lot with you and him and then you and your family if he is your brother the best thing to do is leave it alone so that you fuck anything up!!!

Okay just to remind you if you choose to date him your friendship will be at risk and when and if things end you will be wishing you just stayed friends. I cant even count how many times that has happend to me.
