I write alot of lyrics, And I've noticed alot of other people are aswell.

But my point is, Maybe there could be a new cateogry called 'Lyrics' Or something, And then have a sub-category list. Like.. Love ..Friendship.. Sad.. And yeah.

Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

I would disagree, only because it is a different type of writing, what are we supossed to have different categories for all the different types of writing? I mean really, This might seem like a good Idea, But I would have to disagree.

    Peace, Joe

True. But theres one called 'Internet Slang' With all the categories sub-catergoried in it. Wouldn't it be nearly the same as that?

Internet slang is there for one reason only... and that is to hopefully get all the slang words and TyPiNg LyK dIs out of the rest of the categories.

Any lyrics you write would naturally fall under one of the provided categories... so, just like with any other form, you may put in parenthesis after your title, (Song) or (Lyrics)

Oh ok. Yeah I do that. But that's cooool. I wasn't sure about the internet slang one. That's why I asked about this.

I believe that there should be a way to find poetry forms a little easier. If I wanted to read a specific form like any of these:

Ballade, Cento, Haiku, Kyrielle, Willie, Lune, Palinode, Rondeau, Samisen, Sestina, Sonnet, Spoon, River, Terza, Rima, Triolet, Villanelle, Acrostic, Alphabet

    Where would I click? (rhetorical)

Poems are not being categorized by form for some reason. Maybe because this would be to hard to incorporate, plus we got use to the categories we have now.

I think the poetry forms will influence writers into using said forms.

^^^ Actually if you understand the search engine on the site you would not make the statement. You can type just the name of the poetry form in the search box and click search and a list of poems written in the specific form (that is if the poet specified the form it was written in the poem's title) will be listed.

    Exactly.

    Thank you anyway. :)

^^^ You're welcome, but it would not be practical to classify poems under different poetry forms as there are just way to many different types of poetry forms.
