I have been looking desperately for now over a decade for a published poem I heard on a local (NJ) High School radio station (Hunterdon Central) that on Sun. nights would read published poems (in between music). I tried at the time to reach the evening D.J. (a History Teacher at the same H.S.) without any luck. I believe the title was something like "Signal Hill", it was about a young adult/childs memories of a visit or visits to his mother or father in a cancer ward or sanitorium of some kind. I am sorry I am so vague, but time has caused me to loose the specifics of the poem, although not the impression it first left upon me. It believe it was somewhat lenghtly and was written almost like a story, in the same way some of Jim Carrol's longer poems are written. Again, I apologize for not being able to give you more information about something that at the time moved me to tears, but if anyone knows or even has any sugestions of the poem or poet I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you in advance for any help you may have.-Scott |
