I had braces, and when I 1st got them I wanted to rip them out of my mouth....they hurt.

The pain goes and then you'll forget they're even there. Mine were on for 9 months, and even though 15 months seems long, time will fly.

And hey! You'll end up with perfect teeth :)

"I thoguht my smile was beautiful. It hurt to find out other people didn't think so."

I'm guessing nobody -said- that. And besides, it will make your teeth look good. Deal with it. People are homeless and starving but deal with it. You're crying over some breaces? Jeez.

^when the braces come off you will have a more beautiful smile than you thought you had

i think there is nothing wrong with having braces, do you think you will be classed as a freak or geek or something?

chill out having braces aint the end of the world

yeah, I agree with everyone on this one. Calm down, there are probably even larger teenage-angst issues you can hit up instead of braces. Try the Love forum, they usually have no shortage on teenage things.

I have braces and I hate my smile but that doesn't stop other ppl for enjoying the way you are.

Your only a teenager once you know :)

Just think of it this way... as soon as you get your braces off, your smile is going to be more beautiful than you thought it was. It pays off... you're smile will be gorgeous. Plus, braces shouldn't make you feel so blue... they'll be off sooner than you think. Good luck... and try to love yourself, braces or not.

    Take care,

Their just braces. Almost everyone has them, so your not the only one. You shouldn't cry over it. Just think when you get them off, you'll have a beautiful smile. It's worth it believe me.

I had to wear braces for 5 or 6 years. I know the pain of of it. But when I got them off I was so happy. And I was glad that I had braces because I love my straight teeth.

No one cares if you have braces or not. Its considered a part of life now. So deal. Make the best of them. Your parents aren't wasting their money, they know whats best for you. Crying over it won't get them off any faster. Remember it will do you good in the end.

Yeah, I was just like you a few years ago. They hurt like anything, and they made me cry when I saw them in the mirror the first time. But trust me, it was all worth it, I love my teeth! They're so straight, I get complimented on them all the time lol. You'll get used to them in no time, and 15 months will just fly by.
