why do girls try to make you jelous?

I was wondering if girls really do this? my girlfriend seems to say things about guys that I know she would get upset about if I started talking the same way about a female,
I need any advice...or am I being paranoid?

Well, girls are a tricky bunch, I can tell you that much. My guess, and this is only a guess.. well actually a theory.

The reason she might do that, is to get you jealous, so that you try harder to keep her. Like is she mentions how much of a jerk her ex boyfriend was, and you say something like, 'don't worry, you've found someone better', then it gives her some comfort. It's a twisted game to make you want her more... well that's my theory.

^^I agree it's very true. Sometimes we want to see if a guy will get jealous about another guy. It gives us reassurance. It shows us whether or not they care about us. I know i've done it. Infact i've done it recently. Though this may seem crude, i like seeing a guy i like or am with get jealous, and i'm sure other girls do too. If you show her how it effects you, she will know you care. Now if she gets clingy with another guy, i'd say there's a problem.

---once again i also agree---. i have done as well. like both of them said it gives us alomost like a sense of comfort to know for sur that you like us and will fight for us. Its kinda like a test...you kno to see if its just a game to you or if you care. so hang in there

We as girls...are stupid. Lol. I'll admit it. That's why I get along with guys a lot easier. Lol.

We like to make our guys jealous because we like to feel the control. At least....that's how I feel about it...lol. I don't do it to my fiancee because I see the way he looks at me and I don't want to do that to him. Ya know?

Don't worry man, you have any questions about girls, I have some answers. I talk to a lot of them, so I know how they work. Lol, they aren't so different from guys, it's just that, since they are smarter, their mind games are more, effective. But don't worry, it's a good thing.

Ohhh don't worry Satin, I can admit to my own faults. I've had my girlfriend play those mind games with me, but since I know they game, I can challenge her well. Actually, I could pretty much challenge any girl, after getting to know them of course... it's because girls talk.. and talk.. but I listen.. I always do... so I know ;)

Well that's good that listen...but even the best listeners can sometimes hear nothing at all.

I fool my guy all the time....I have since day one...lol...and that was about 3 years ago that we met....sooo....I would still be careful. Lol.

Play the mind games, girls!

Make us jealous and infuriated and keep us on the boil. Make us vulnerable and let us harbour feelings of inadiquacy as the mental pain you inflict

Every guy is different. And another thing, guys can counter mind games just as well as girls. So you should be careful too. Because when you think you are winning, it may be because he is letting you win. Don't ever count a guy out.
