Ok heres the big question...ive been with my boyf for over a year and i love him and he loves me...blah blah blah! But the thing is, hes gonna join the raf, maybe next year or maybe in like 3, but its DEFINITELY gonna happen and hes gonna break up with me when he does. And i dont like knowing that i can be really good to him and we can get along perfect, and its never gonna last...what should i do? Id rather go out with him for another year than break it off now, but do you think he might ever change his mind? :-s xx

    He might change his mind.

But I mean, Royal Air Force, THE British Airforce, now that is something to brag about.

Anyways back on topic. Play it out, just continue dating as it nothing is going to happen. Then he will have to decide. If he really loves you, he won't leave you.

"If he really loves you, he won't leave you. "

I don't think that's true. If this is something he's always wanted to do, he shouldn't have to give it up, but, if he really loves you, he won't want to break up with you. If you both mean that much together, you'll be able to have a long distance relationship, and if it is true love, it'll work out - it won't be easy, obviously, and take a hell of a lot of trust on both sides, but it can be done.

On topic though, stay with him, and spend as much time with him as you can.

^^ In life you are faced with choices.

For him, it's doing something he loves to do, or being with someone he loves. Everyone has to make a small sacrifice in life. You can't have the best of both worlds.

A year with him sounds better than a year without.
