Don't think about what your writing. Let it come on it's own. It's better to experience what your about to write. So you don't just blable on about something you don't know about. So the 2 tips I can give you are...

    1. Don't force yourself to write poetry.

    2. Let it come from something you've experienced.

    Hope my advice helped.

    One more:

Good grammar and spelling are a must.

Write what you feel, and you need to find the inspiration before writing about it. NEVER force yourself to write. And don't use internet slang or any of that, it takes the readers focus off of your work and makes them focus more on the mistakes than the actual content of the poem.

Take there comments to heart. Use their comments as a guide. Take their comments as constructive critism even if it is not given that way.

The beautiful thing about poetry is that the way you're feelings sets the tone.

Personally, if I'm just not... feeling the poetry vibe, I just don't write.

I didn't feel it for three months... you can see the break in my poems, if you look...

My advice is not to force it. You don't create poetry... It creates itself within you.

But honestly, have a set form as well. You don't want your poetry all over the place or hard to follow... that just causes confusion and takes the attention off the point of the poetry.

Grammar and spelling, always a must... Again, mistakes just take away the attention from the poem and it's meaning.

Set your standards too high... and write from the heart. ♥

think of a good/bad thing that has happened to you and write it in the form of a story....you might notice you rhym by yourself without realising....if not dont worry just go back and start spacing your lines-thinking of different or better words....it takes time to get the hang of it......but the main thing is to try and keep the thing your writting about clear.
