ok, lol so amazing.

alright, i feel like starting a new contest, since my alst one only a few people entered (which was LAME i'd like to add)

Anywho, here are the rules:
It has to be about either something you are REALLY looking forward to, or something that was like the greatest day of your life.
Example: marriage, going on your 1st date, going out of town, going to a concert; etc.

1) Must be your work
2) Please newly written, if you ask for permission, i might allow an old one
3) no more than 45 lines plz
4) have fun (opt.)

Ok, so i'll end the contest when there are 15 poems, or at a date i'll say later on, depending on the response...ill edit this message saying how many more we need at the top:D

~*Who Cares?*~

The Perfect Day

The day was perfect
The sun was shining
I was so nervous, but yet so happy
All my friends were there.
The best one standing beside me.

She was helping me get dressed.
Putting the flowers in my hair
Tying the bow on my dress
Wiping the tears from my eyes
Finishing all the little touches.

I had been planning this since
I was a little girl
Talking about the different colors
Where it would be held,
And even who would be invited.

It was now time,
Time to walk down the isle.
Time to smile and look beautiful
Time to look into this man’s eyes
And say the magical words “I Do.”

It was a day I could always see
Something I couldn’t wait for.
A day every girl dreams of.
The day she dresses in white
And gives her life to the man she loves.

Best Day of Her Life

She wakes up that morning
With a smile on her face
Her skin is shining
And her eyes are bright
And she knows
That this is going to be
The best day of her life..

Surrounded by a group
Of giggling girls
They carefully do her hair
They expertly
Twist, brush, and perfect
Her long blond curls

Her make up makes her look
Like a fairy princess
And with that sparkle
In her excited green eyes
She looks as if she could fly

As she puts on her dress
All they can do is stare in awe
She is a vision in white
Like the first layer of snow
On a cold winter night

When the music
She has longed to hear
For so long starts to play
She picks up her longs skirts
And blissfully walks
Like a graceful ballerina
Down the aisle
Towards the love of her life

He stands there
The look upon his face incredulous
She looks so beautiful
He thinks to himself

And when its finally time
To promise to be together forever
They place the golden rings
On upon their fingers
Look up and smile
And nothing could have
Ever been more magical
Than the moment
Their eyes met and they
Repeated the everlasting lines “I do”

When We First Met

When you first approached me I wasnt interested and didnt want a relationship,
but meaning to give you a fake number the real one slipped.

I was so pissed so I told you not to call me for a couple weeks,
two days later you called and said you couldnt wait that long for me to speak.

So annoyed so frustrated,
how you talked so much I just hated.

I always lied and said I had things to do,
Just so I could finally get off the phone with you.

Next time you called I thought maybe you'd be a good friend,
So I actually listened and turned out I didnt want our conversations to end.

More and more I realized how different you were;
I was starting to have feelings but you are everything but my type, so I wasnt sure.

You never gave up trying to win my heart,
I ignored my stetted standards and asked when our relationship can start (?)

Now I'm deeply in love, and your soon-to-be wife,
I'm glad I gave you my real number cuz that night changed my life.

The icy breeze
the stormy nights
trying to tell yourself

the wisp in the wind

Running around,
trying to get ready,
hurrying to finish,
heart beating steady.

Slip on my shoes,
and I'm out the door,
turning back now,
is an option no more.

I'm in the car now,
I'm on my way,
oh my god,
what more is there to say.

My chest is shaking,
hands are weak,
oh my god,
I can barely speak.

We pull in,
I think we're here,
nope, false alarm,
we're at the store, but we're near.

I put my gum in my pocket,
once again we are off,
my cell phone rings,
I'm too breathless to cough.

Yellow light,
now turns to red,
we stop the car,
so much running through my head.

Red light,
now turns green,
my house and destination,
somewhere in between.

Stomach hurts,
it's actually in pain,
my heartbeats the only noise,
then my cell phone rings again.

Oh dear lord,
I can see the big sign,
I am arriving where I was going,
and then I see the line.

I step out of the car,
my knees to weak to stand,
I feel like I'm on water,
But I am indeed on land.

I walk over to the crowd,
anxious to go in,
I stand with strangers,
if this was a game I wouldn't win.

7:00 finally comes,
they open up the door,
we all pile in,
I am nervous no more.

I hand the lady my money,
I handed her a five,
I glance up and see him,
I'm just glad to be alive.

My stomach hurts again,
a new surge of fear,
I see him with her,
and I feel a single tear.

I am so hurt,
and so scared,
I want to die,
I don't want to be compared.

I want to leave,
I want to go,
I don't want to stay,
I don't want to know.

He comes over to me,
I wipe my eyes,
I fake a smile,
to hide my cries.

He asks a question,
he asks me to dance,
he says don't be shy,
as he takes my hand.

We dance together,
until the song stops,
he lets me go,
and away he walks.

Again I am sad,
it was all make believe,
he was playing me,
getting ready to leave.

No, it was real, he comes back,
and asks me for one more,
I feel my heart stop,
and him I adore.

He holds me close,
he holds me tight,
even when the song ends,
we stand together, it feels right.

It was perfect,
it was fun,
I'm nothing special,
but he acts like I'm the one.

He doesn't even glance at her,
he never looks back,
he holds my hips and we walk out,
there is nothing he does lack.

A perfect night,
a perfect ending,
a perfect dance,
even though we were pretending.

The Loss of Tears

What sound can stir this silence?
The hush before the storm.
Horizon`s struck with panic.
The clouds have lost their form.

The sound of thunder, roaring
across this sullen field.
A flash of lightning renders
a crushing wrath, revealed.

It`s hatred overtakes me
I could have run, but nay!
Amidst the tameless chaos
My tears are swept away.

The winds thus leave me, shattered,
of tears and pain bereft.
Upon this lifeless meadow,
I stand with nothing left.

In my life, I must admit
I have said some mean things
To friends, enemies, sibling, parents,
They deserve to be treated like human beings.

But noone hurt my feelings more
than a so called friend
She was my best companion, forever,
then she blew away in the wind.

I had an idea, a dream a career,
and the day I explained it out loud,
she scoffed at me, laughed in my face,
And left without any more sound.

That was the day I lost my life,
To the grinning face of suicide
And when my family found me,
I'm not even sure they cried.

So on a lonely Saturday,
the rain coming down so thin,
I killed myself, hung myself,
Never to be heard from again.

Nobody loved me in your world,

When kids kill themselves in the rain.

We slowly, happily dance,
It's the perfect equation.

Walking down the road
Accidentally tripping over our feet,
Not noticing anything in the world
around us,
and we once again agree to meet.

Finding you was always a dream,
And now that it happened, I can only believe

This magic is real,
it's everlasting,

~The River That Divides Us~

I am going to paint a picture,
of what all of you would see,
if you spent a day adventuring,
with all my friends and me.

Preparation is half the battle,
for our adventures are not tame.
You better come prepared,
for you'll find we're less than sane.

In the deadest heat of summer,
our bikes will breach the street,
for temperature is just a factor,
in all the obstacles we'll beat.

When the heat is hard to bare,
and sweat wells up on our wrists,
all we do is take a detour,
and drown in a sprinkler's mists.

As soon as we're refreshed,
we leave for where we're destined.
Water drips from all our clothes,
looking back at what we danced in.

Our laughs are heard for miles,
while we ride into the sunset,
but our adventure doesn't end here,
there are stories left to tell yet.

As we near our destination,
the wind blows through the trees.
We can hear the water echoing,
through the dense forest leaves.

We enter the woods silently,
for we are not there to disturb.
We come to find our family,
within the forest herbs.

Once we've found our spot,
we make ourselves at home.
The river flows beside us,
we're all glad to be alone.

A tree drapes across the river,
it had fallen from a storm.
It is our only way to cross it,
we must escape from the norm.

For this river is what divides us,
from the gangsters and the preps.
We are the pot smokin' hippies,
and this river divides us best.
