    And I post it again.

I still think there should be a little red number right next to the "your poems" thing, telling the member how many new comments he/she/it has received. I, for one, enjoy reading comments, and I would not leave even one unread...I am sure at least some others share my affection for new comments, and the wish to read every single one they get...

I can`t imagine the time it would take for the members here who have many hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of poems posted to check for new comments...

Surely, they cannot check ALL their poems for new comments whenever they log in here...but if there is a magical little red number telling them they have received 1 new comment, they need not check all poems.
And if there is no number, they needen`t check any of them

Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

~ I had a little red # next 2 one of my poems. We already have this feature...do we not???

no no, not by the poem itself, but by the thing you hit to access your poems...

    where it says "your poems"

    That would be helpful.

If I were to have this function implemented, it'd do it so that if you clicked on a link called "comments" underneath your poems it'd either say "no new comments" or if you did have new comments it'd list the new comments in the format of:

-Name of Poem (linked so you can reread your poem if you want)
    -Name of person who commented
    -The comment
    -date added
    -option to complain or praise

and it'd have all the new comments together so you can view them all at once.

Not only that Ruth, but it is impossible to check all of the new comments, especially when one has several poems. I have often missed many a comment, and only have around 25 works posted. I can only imagine the pain people like Steven Beesley must endure to check for new comments.
