Ongoing Story

This is something my friends and I used to do during class to pass the time. What we did is take a notebook and one of us started writing a story, then after so long (half an hour at the most), we'd pass it on to the next person and they'd get their turn. So I thought it might be kind of fun to do it on here. Here are the rules:

1. You can only post once per week, and your post has to fit in one forum post, otherwise it can be as long or short as you want.
2. No sudden scene changes. So that means the characters can't be poofed from like the street to the desert or something.
3. No era changes, meaning if the story has a modern setting to it, it can't be suddenly futuristic.
4. Always end your post with a descision the character has to make, that way the next poster has something to work with.
5. Heres a big one cause I anticipate this to happen. If two people end up posting at the same time, whichever post comes first is the one we follow.
6. This one is the biggest. Keep it the story a story, so that means all the little stuff, like no changing personalities of the characters and all that and if you don't know how to act as that character, do something to keep the story going, like perhaps introducing a new character, but don't get carried away, we don't want to have to remember a billion different characters.
7. This last one isn't as big, but it would be appriciated. When you want to make a break in the story for a comment of your own, use ( ).
I don't ask that you follow all the rules to the dot because I know theres all types of different writers, but please stay as close to them as you can. The main reason for this whole thing is to have fun, so lets have fun with it. Anyway, I won't start it off because I want to see what you all come up with. I might make a post of my own here or there, but I'm just mainly going to read/watch. If you don't like how this story is going (and I figure not everybody will since everybody has their own favorite things to write/read) but still wanted to write something like this, you could start your own and I wouldn't say a word about it, but please put it in another thread. (Bryce-I think this is a really good idea, and I would love to write part of the story, but I don't know how to start it. I think that since this is your idea, you should start the story, and the rest of us will write after that. Or at least I will. Just a suggestion though, because I have no idea for the beginning of a story.)

"Hey" Said Jane "lets go shopping!"
"NOOOOOOOOO!" yelled her boyfriend bob
"Oh come on is only a portal away!!!" agued Jane
" thats right a portal we dont have a portal how the hell do we get 1 way out here in the sububs that can go to the city?!?!"

"What?!" Jane exclaims, "please use grammar when you speak!"
"But I like talking monotonously lets go to the city in 1 way okay"

"Who is generating these voices from my mouth? This is wack!" I said.
"I don't know, but apparently they think I'm your boyfriend ;)" Bob responded.
"Oh, bugger off old man."
"No."
"Fine, then let's sit back and enjoy the show..."
"Can do."
"...And don't touch my green sour jacks."

Bob decided to walk away and Jane decided that she still wanted to go shopping. On the way to the mall....

Costumes.
" i would love to look like barbie" says Jane. "she is my favourite role model. If only I had a Ken".
