I keep losing my poems.

I write my poems straight onto the site, as I think of them. I find it easier this way as I can play around with the words, but I have lost 3 now!!. When I have finished them and try to submit them. It says Iam not logged on, the poem disapears never to be seen again. They never come out right on the second attempt as the flow seems to have been lost. Is there a time limit for submitting the poems?. Can my lost ones ever be recovered?. Also is there any way we could save part written poems before submitting them?. Has this happened to anyone else?? Please help as I am very flustrated...
