He jokes around too much

I recently got back together with my ex, and we've been together almost a month. I love him and I think he loves me, but it seems like he can never be totally serious. He's ALWAYS joking around. I like that about him because he can always make me laugh when I'm upset, but he doesn't seem to know when to stop. He keeps teasing me and joking around about him cheating on me, and even though I know he's kidding, it still hurts. I just need him to be serious sometimes. got any advice?

tell him so. what in the world else could you do?

sometimes me and my bf joke around about other relationships but when we do A) we both know were kidding and B) In the end i always end up getting mad or hitting him but maybe he wants to see if u truly care about him.. Perhaps a test?? I don't know u should tell him it bothers you I do..

that's my boyfriend. He is only serious when I am in complete tears. I wouldn't mind some advise for that too.

If it's bothering you....tell him!!!

It's ok to joke around about...my fiancee and I do it all the time. But...when it gets to be to much for either one of us...we tell the other one....and we stop.

I think that sometimes people turn everyting into a joke because they are nervous about talking about their feelings and stuff. He wants to know if you would be jealous if he was with another girl, so he jokes around about cheating on you to kind of judge your reaction. It works in a whole bunch of different situations, but it probably isn't the best way to deal with things.

Talk to him about it! I know that me and my boyfriend tease each other alot, we hurt each others feelings once in awhile but we know not to say that to each other again if it hurts us the first time...I wouldn't go to hitting him like Cayla said but when we do get mad normally some one ends up being pinned on the ground and tickled for a few minutes...which is hard for me to do considering i weigh 50-60 pounds less then him. ^_~
