Has anyone ever...?

Has anyone ever REALLY met someone off of this site and it escaladed to more? LOL. It may sound corny but I always wanted to try an "internet love" thing, you know? I just never really met someone I could do it with!! LOL....So yeah....

This site? No, but I did meet a girl on yahoo messenger after my friend introduced her to me. We only went out for a month though and decided that the distance thing wasnt going to work.

See that's what I mean!! LOL, how do you know it will really work? I mean of course that is why you try it out but I always hear about marriages and stuff off of imternet meetings...LOL, I don't know... I mean I GUESS it could work...

I think it could work for two people who have alot of patience and alot of commitment to each other, plus they would have to communicate to each other pretty well too. If one of those three things went wrong, the relationship crumbles. It was the patience part with me, plus we weren't really each other's type. I was shy as heck and she was fairly outgoing.

LOL, well that's true Bryce, it is alot of patience and stuff, Goldenknight that's cool that you met someone like that. LOL, maybe I'm jealous....LOL jus kiddin, but it would be cool to keep in touch with someone like that, even as friends you know? But then it's not the same thing. Relationships are different.

hmmm, that's interesting. sometimes i do wish to see people i meet online in person. but you can't have everything you want, can you?

i am also a very shy person but i can be completely random and outgoing at times. all the same, it takes quite a while for me to trust someone.

but i think it's really comforting to have "friends" here that occasionally make you smile and feel special. still, you can't be sure if they're who they say they are. bittersweet, no?

not off this site... but off the internet in general, yes... friends and *cough* more than friends :o)

You just have to be careful... not everyone is who they say they are or how they seem to be online. I was lucky enough to not have and BAD or tragic incidents, but the first person I met was this girl I'd been email pen pals with for awhile, we got along great online... but we annoyed each other in person (like sister can do) we just never got over that disappointment and we don't even talk any more...
