    Just use feeling and emotion,
    write what your heart is bleeding.
    Keep in mind poetry doesnt always have to rhyme.

    While I agree with the sentiment here, the trap people often fall into with "emotion" is that they think it's all about personal experience. A good writer can tell a story about something external quite easily, but a great writer still puts their emotions into it.

    I would never consider myself a great writer, but I don't see the point in writing poems solely about myself and how I feel about things. Writing about other things is much more enjoyable.

    my poems are full of emotion and just flow from the heart, well most of the time :P
